So the focus engine when it goes around 4,200+ rpm limp mode kicks in to try help protect the engine, but on the weekend (especially the 2 races) my car had issues with that enabling at random even when I tried to up shift before going around that 4,200 mark, all cars have it but I think (especially in race 2 as I up shifted a lot earlier than 4,200 rpm) I just got unlucky

It was an epic battle and end to the race 🔥

Thanks for the support, yeah I definitely have some things I need to work on for the rest of the season, as I had a lot of scruffy moments during the weekend, including the downshifting, it was also my first time doing heel toe downshifting, so I knew it’d be a tricky debut, but I will for sure work on it and thank you for the advice, also yeah for sure will hopefully see you in an Mx5 soon 🔥

I’m not 100% sure, I mean they allow you to use your own helmet in the formula 3000, so I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t let you use your own helmet in the other cars if it had a comms headphones and microphone in it, most of the instructors use their own helmets because they got comms systems in there’s

Hey bud. I've bought myself a voucher for the full day driving all the Palmersport cars and really keen to get some on-board video. I know you can't use helmet mounted gopros according to their website but was wondering about sorting a in helmet cam..so interested to know more about how you got to video yours...particularly using your cam in one of their helmets. Were they ok with you using in helmet cams?...or did you have to be sneaky putting it in?

Hey mate, yeah for sure, no matter what pace when you start keep going and you’ll learn a lot and get quicker and quicker, to be honest that is an extremely quick time for your first time as well, so congrats 🔥

yeah now I've done more racing, I've got more of a habbit of keeping my hands in place, I used to do autograss racing which required some feeding of the wheel, but broke that bad habbit now

I do have a helmet cam, but motorsport UK regulations prevent competitors from using cameras inside or on your helmet unfortunately, otherwise I would of used my helmet cam 100%

Yeah massive shame, I knew the camera would die after about an hour, but there’s no way to change the battery on the pit stop sadly, as it’s just extra time added to pit stops
