Agree 100%. The culture around it and the advertising has become so scummy and invasive. I don't have a problem with gambling in particular. I live next to a big casino town, and I have seen it ruin lives. But I make day trips and play table games, and I set my limits. I don't do sports betting, because that makes me enjoy sports less, but it's fine for people to do it. But seeing the leagues push it is just gross.

And if Porter got that contract (he very well might have)? Those betmakers would get all their money back with interest. They could blackmail Porter for millions to keep his addiction (and his bets on the other team) quiet. Hell, they could do nothing and Porter would probably go right back to gambling, only this time he had even money to burn, hand over fist. And the betmakers threw it all away. They threatened Porter with breaking his legs if he didn't throw his minutes, and they bet massive sums of money that the gambling sites looked at funny. And now they all go to prison.
