The camera is kind of a pain at times. I instantly turned off the camera assist to make it all manual because the camera assist was abysmal. Turning it off make it much better, but there are still times when I'm fighting with the camera to get a good angle so I don't jump off into a pit. But the generous checkpoint system does help a ton.

achievements don't work on MacOS. I can confirm it.

The reason why you get launched vertically at 6:10 is most likely because you're clipping into stage geometry, most games tend to just push you away horizontally, but my guess is that because you can get stuck in level geometry from things like disappearing platforms or the dweller mask they made it push you vertical so you just don't die for whats a natural part of the game.

If there was any reason to use the dragon of dojima skin... This was it. Yuge missed opportunity.

for mac os, it doesn't work anymore because ahit is 32 bits and apple made apps/games run in 64 bit and there haven't been anymore updates. for those that don't like windows probably only a steamdeck is their option available

Now do this in ishin difficulty like i am working on. -You need sumo buzo trooper cards that enhances brawler dmg 2 of them for best effect, need shinada with his time slow solo power + trooper his corporate trait enhances DMG and defense extremely you could also use Shirakawa has the same trait execpt his solo power is extra shield of defense. - need to upgrade ryoma brawler full 2x -all equipment with seals called fierce battle maxxed & food cook with buffs. I got the buiid set up if you'd like. Gear need shield / bullet defense !

Both Ori games are garbage. Guacamelee! SuperTurbo Championship Edition is the GOAT of modern Metroidvanias. Better than Hollow Knight.

People complaining about the camera are straight up clowns. Like, wtf? Just move the camera, dude. I never had issues with it.

I find that the problem with this game is a disconnect between its style and its gameplay. They're both awesome on their own, but together they just kinda sort of work kinda. I agree with the hard to see enemies thing, it's too much focus on art that is not even that interesting - the scenery barely changes, we go from grey cave with spikes, grass and trees, to blue cave with spikes, grass and trees, to pink cave with spikes grass and trees... I find it hard to keep myself motivated in terms of immersion. I realize that it's going for playstyles that are different from what you'd usually expect from this type of game, but I wish it would at least give you a few more levels at the beginning where it makes you more propperly familiarized with obstacles in an engaging way before it hits you with the rage inducing shit.

Was anyone gonna tell me that Apex Legends uses the source engine? Or was I supposed to just figure that out myself?

I just got the game but every time I play I get a headache and I want to continue playing but it just gets to a point still loving the game though

What i disliked about halflife 2 is the braindead enemy ai, the game barely having anything to do with the first, lack of interesting experimental sci-fi weapon and the variety of weapons and enemies in general. And the subjectively less interesting setting.

4:46 look at hollow knight. You are constantly collecting new spells and abilities keeping you backtracking even to the beginning of the game to either have an easier time with a boss or something you couldn't defeat before, or to explore an area that was blocked off before because you didn't have ismas tear, or crystal heart, or shade cloak, or whatever ability/spell you needed to access the area. It's used in lots of games, especially platformers. It's no different here.

I think the general sentiment here is that Ori and the Blind forest is unusual in that it prioritises its aesthetic qualities over traditional tight platforming design, but that's kind of what it set out to do in the first place, so I dont think you can really blame it for that. Though I can agree some aspects are to a degree that it is bad design, (namely the environment blending in just a bit too much) overall its just different priorities than you might expect. Hearing that people who played hollow knight first and found this game frustrating made me glad I played Ori first. I dont know when im going to get around to Hollow Knight but I will.

How exactly does the makoto escort mission skip work? Do you defeat all enemies and then retry? If yes does this only work for segmented speedruns?

i love how not even speedruns can completely break these games. true dedication (we do not talk about problematic physics in dragon engine)

why didnt u show a 20x speed of what the old chase used to look like in speedruns and also a 100x of the waiting in yakuza for a phone call to show visually what it is like without the strat? i feel like if someone isnt super familiar with the games its kinda hard 2 understand just how much is skipped
