Singer machines why you don't use 3in1 oil
Thank you!! I bought a used Singer 774 Stylist. Although the structure is different, this allowed me to figure it out. I was going batty. BTW, the throat plate on the 774 is a magnetic seating. 🤔
What model is the fridge? ❤
Subcold 230v
@@nakedcampers512 thank you for replying. I looked into the brand yesterday they seem very efficient. It weird you can gat 230v normal fridge that's more efficient and better than 12v. Are you still using your delta Pro? Has it kept up ok?
@@freespirit5944 yes it's used every day year round when not in camper it lives under the stairs and powers part of the house. 1000w of panels on house it all helps
Hey loving watching your videos! I would love to hear about the ecoflow pro update?! Are you still using it, has it been good?
How is this different from just being on the app?
No phone / internet required. lol but I got mine free in a sale bundle - don’t know if I’d pay for it by itself.
Crumbs…and the user guide on my brother says…just oil at the front !!! 😱
Well they don't want them lasting forever!
I don't have one. It looks complicated.
Thank you very much❤
How have you found this a year on? - Could the eco flow power all your 12v electrical like lights etc and how would you wire lights to it?
Your comment, "Put it on and it will sort itself out," with the number tension dial took care of a problem that has haunted me (and my conservation of old machines) for years. It did work itself out and now my 68 year old machine is sewing perfectly tensioned stitches. Thank you.
Thank you. That was easy ❤
😮 if only I had known this 30 years ago! So helpful I just fixed it in under one minute! Thank you for making the video. I have two singer model 500 Rocketeer’s❤❤
Hey there. Do you have any wheels left?
Yes always in stock www.sewlincs.co.uk/details/p4628659_19838400.aspx
3 in 1 has the same viscosity as sewing machine oil,, it''s fine, the problem that you had, is that the little hole was clogged, or really never oiled. Hopps No.9 gun oil also works, SAE 20 non detergent motor oil also has the same viscosity as sewing machine oil. don't use SAE 10 - 20. use straight 10 or 20 weight non-detergent oil or mi them. grease for sewing machines is another rip off. grease is nothing other than mineral oil and a thickener, it's nothing fancy.
You are talking complete crap you never ever use 3in1 oil on sewing machines I can only hope you not servicing machines for a living. They make sewing machine oil especially for machines it does not clog or discolour parts like 3in1 does.
@@nakedcampers512 I’m realizing that now. 3 in 1 contains citronella oil, which readily oxidizes and gets sticky, and gummy. However, when the part was oiled, the oil never got to where it needed to be. No lubricant would work if it wasn’t on the shaft
I won't disagree. the problem with advice (Not you, just general), is that one hears or reads: do this, don't do that , It's wrong, , etc. but those statements never give a reason. I ANYONE ever said why, things would go much more smoothly. Citronella oil oxidizes and gets sticky / gummy, 3 in 1 contains citronella oil as a scent to mask the anti oxidant, so that is why,, Not one person that I have seen gave a reason, , , not one. In short (this is general, not directed at you), advice without a reason is complete vapid crap. One has to dig real deep to get information an any oil product because it's labeled proprietary, Everything I stated above has to be completely researched or tested. I'm even buying a viscometer to test the viscosity of light weight engine oils. Best of success and fun with your machines. @@nakedcampers512
@@thomasgronek6469 The simple reason the oil never got there is because it was the wrong oil it might have worked for a short time but then gummed the machine up as 3in1 will always do.
@@thomasgronek6469 here is the reason I have been in the trade for near on 50 years so take it from me I know what the wrong oil can do seen it many times.
Thank you! Now to put mine back together. Do you raise up the round pin on the left and slide the needle plate back in?
That's right just lift a little and needle plate will slide under and click into place.
@@nakedcampers512 thank you. Mine was stuck so just a little help from a screwdriver and a tiny drop of oil helped it. My husband bought me this machine at an estate sale. I am slowly learning what all it can do and trying to get used to the knob foot pedal. I tried it in the cabinet with the leg lever but I didn’t have any better control. I don’t think it can be changed though, it looks hard wired in not a plug in style.
Thank you so mulch for this video.I have been taping my slide plate down for over a year! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Thank you !
Thank you. Your video helped me fix my slide plate, Excellent help.
Thanks bro
what leds bulbs fit an were can i get a bright one
Cool beans!! Thank you 😎
It was the Button on the top and that you had to pair it to the unit. Dang instructions. lol 😆
Yep but male only read instructions if it don't go first time lol
Yes you have to hate those instructions it was the little button on the top wasn’t it? And then you have to pair it with the unit. I know you know all this now because you go it working Good job 👍
Congratulations on getting a newer fridge and on your beautiful battery. Make sure you mount it with plenty of airflow around the battery.
Garage section has now had a complete re fit so been designed around the Delta Pro and so has the cupboard under the stairs very pleased with how much it's saving us.
I love my remote / controller too. You can extend the time the screen stays on in the app. Go show mate.👍
Thanks so much.you made it so simple
Love your videos but hate trying to find them because of all the other things RUclips brings up!
Book mark this one never need to search again.
Looked all over for the video - this is a plate saver & doesn't take forever to watch. THANK YOU.
Great video strong Scottish accent
Got any more videos for this particular sewing machine, especially maintenance?
I was struggling with this, thank you!!
Awesome video, worked like a charm! I couldn’t figure this out for the life of me!
what do you do with these receipt books? do you keep them or sell them on?
I have kept them I might sell them with the machine one day
Life saver!! Thought I'd broken my 285k there!! Thank you for getting straight to the point, had it fixed within the minute ♡
اريد كيف تركب carroie singer futura 1000 وشكرا
Thank ya bro!! My mom from Ireland will appreciate what you showed me.
Thank you! It worked!
I think the lamp on my model 320K is the same kind. I will have to take it apart more as I will have to rewire it. I would like to know what kind of bakelite cleaner this is?
Really interesting social history. Thankyou.
I have a futura and part of the stitch screen does not light up is there a quick fix ??
What model do you have?
If you want any of the stitches featured in blue you need to set the stitch length to SS also marked in blue (right hand dial)
Looks like she sold clothing she had made maybe. I wonder what she made with th taffeta
amazing Dave it would be great to find that ladys family and pass that on 😉
Thanks for sharing, that was fascinating
love the Home Guard paid ernest for Night duty 5/6 etc...fascinating piece of social history .
Even when I started in mid1970's housewifes couldnt take out HP
Thank you so much, I've been looking for days for a concise video on how to do this ❤️
Very Good!..
I would send a message or an email but not sure how/ where. Any tips on a singer 185? I picked one up for a tenner but the motor and pedal definitely need replacing as does the band to the motor. Wheel turns freely though, and the case is still in decent condition which is a bonus! (Also if you happen to have come across any buttonholers this side of the pond! They all seem to be the other side. And jusr waited to add that these machine videos are actually great and super helpful, so thanks for uploading!
Every part in stock for 185k sewlincs.co.uk. sewlincs@mail.com
Looks great, have you been out and about much? We haven't been anywhere since we last caught up with you at Freedom. How's everyone. We have finally managed to book in some annual leave so hopefully will catch up with you soon. Give Craig a bell, Christine & Craig x
Thanks for the video. My use is actually fan bearings but it seems that sewing machine oil might be better there also.
Sure it will be OK been using it on one fan for over 20 years and it's still running well.
@@nakedcampers512 Excellent. Thanks for the quick reply!
