You nailed it on the callouts. This has been my only outright complaint thus far from the get go. No excitement, not urgency. Just ready the lines like your in the john dropping deuces.

I do agree that the animations in general need work. The Metallica remastered animations were made by a professional artist and animator. The animations for Spookies last few games have been done by Ben Heck who is a renaissance man, but not a professional animator.

Literally nobody was scared watching the Evil Dead, fear wasn't the point. These films were just crazy gory fun. They're so bad that you gotta love it. Anyway it's not for everyone. One example of this movie and there are many examples similar to this. When Ash first gets the shotgun he puts 2 shells in his shirt pocket. 2 + 2 in the barrels. Those 2 shells last for the rest of the movie plus the next movie. In Army of Darkness the film was like reloading? nah Ash will shoot the double barreled shotgun 3 times or 5 times before reloading. I have zero doubt this is intentional. Again the plot serves itself not logic, but again that's kinda the charm of the films.

If the guy wasn't on drugs when he stole and micro-redesigned this game, he should still use that as his excuse.

Two that I really liked (good memories because they were in a place that I worked at) were: Creature From The Black Lagoon and Xenon.

A friend ( non pinball player) played it and came over to me & honestly asked if its missing stuff & if it was a Home made pinball 😂😂.

The animations are really bad without creativity. They don't fit the idiosyncratic atmosphere of the Evil Dead cult films! The cgi created animation designs of the filmsetting scenes for the pinball should have been more oriented towards the strange and sometimes unconventional camera perspectives of the films. I hope that spoojy changes that later!

In the 60’s I grew up in asbury park nj summers at the beach. I would play the classic pinball machines for hours. 5 balls per game, 3 games for a quarter. Miss those days
