Chances are that if you live long enough, you will die at the end of your journey through life. Your body will probably be buried or burnt. What sort of legacy are you going to leave behind? How well will you be prepared if there really is some kind of afterlife?
Train Trip between Porirua and Paraparaumu

This clip was previously uploaded in two parts. Videotaped circa 2002 the quality isn't the greatest, but I've cleaned it up a little bit. A lot of work has been done on this section of Wellington's Kapiti line since this was shot, including upgrading of the signalling and the double-tracking from McKay's Crossing to Waikanae. Even the now-closed Muri station was still in use.
I love work, I can watch it for hours!

Contracters are renewing Porirua's watermain. Please drive carefully if they are working in your area. (This timelapse clip has no soundtrack)

Bits and pieces from the Porirua Homecoming, held at Porirua Park, 19 August 2012. Didn't get much: I arrived late and was too busy enjoying what I was watching.

Legend. Very sadly missed 😢
I found that interesting, thanks for the link. Curiousity about your Video Editing program. Is it a version of Pinnacle Studio?
Yes, an old version of Pinnacle Studio
@@poriruaaspie I recognised the tune at the start and end of your video. It's quite a catchy one and I have used it quite often myself.
Awesome! 👍
Lived at the nurses home 1987 to 1989 and worked at Porirua Hospital and kenepuru hospital. This bought back alot of memories. Thank you for posting
looks fucking awfull
Hay mate U still on here?
The nurses ward stands out as much as as a dogs hind leg.
Why remanice in a place that did no good or thrive with grate intentions. If it did grateful wounders, it would still be her in good use! The high insight had no grate purpose, only fear wrong crime activities. Horrible past history that continues to stray ther grounds. Now that they have changed with living homes has only cluttered the roads & state high way roads as well. More depth tolls will rise of people trying to drive on roads. Idiot's your supposed to put roads & homes out in to country land..... you got evry1 so close , you will notice a fart as well telling were come from. Lol. What a joke. Aoterua land of whites stolen land off Maoridim
Awesome whanau

Wow haha
The lady doing the singing at the start is Ngati Hamoa. She doesn't sing so much these days due to a stroke last year but her confidence is coming back. The Marae - Maraeroa - is located near one of the bus stops featured in the movie "Eagle vs Shark"
Maraeroa in Waitangirua

your right a wharenui is sacred and where im from in aotearoa your allowed you phone in the wharenui but your not allowed to use it.
@xXhallwayXx Whan I was small, the "Kiwifruit" was known as "Chinese Gooseberry"
I like that fountain
kiwi's are awesome you should also add that the kiwi fruit was made in china and not NZ
I enjoyed your clip. its a shame how its gone into disrepair..I used to walk past there as a littlie on the way to tend to family plots at Porirua cemetery..
Love this song my dad would always song when I was a wee lady.
stop at 0:16...THATS THE PROMISE LAND P-HOOD!!!!
@Depositato, Billy Connolly did the original.
Why people keep calling them Asylums I will never know, they were known as Psychiatric Hospitals from the 1930's on with. Previous to that Mental Hospitals. I guess it just sounds more horrific.
classic
Still family. The COSAC folks went under and ran away and someone else bought the building.
I can't remember exactly when I shot this, the original camera tape is long lost, and the original camera long replaced. I think it was some time about 2001 or 2002.
Wouldn't worry about it - still an impressive performance!
omgsh tyna! i never knew we wer that flat ! hahaha
love the song
another good ol kiwi classic!! rok on taihape
Another song i love!
Nice clip, from this former Wellingtonian's point of view.
The description is a play on words..... "roots" is slang for ........(Censored: "Intimacy" might be a better word)
