With a long and challenging season, we decided to jump to private land for the last day on the 2020 deer season. Action picked up quick as soon as we got in the stand. I was able to connect with a mature doe and get some meat for the freezer. This was a hunt that will push me into next season with the same drive to chase these amazing animals.

I left a camera in the mountains all season to see how the deer used the area without hunting it. Turns out this was a hot spot for bucks all season. When you have limited time you need your tools working for you. This is something I will be doing every season now. It was very interesting seeing how this area was used 90% during daylight hours and used the whole year by bucks. What do you think...

My dad and I try to plan a trip to south Alabama every year and this year we decided we would sit with each other and just enjoy hanging out and hopefully get an opportunity to shoot something (pig or deer). In this video we check a camera that has been in the woods for almost 2 months. The camera was places between two trails on a hard transition line. Knowing deer would be in the area I made a mock scrape and poured vanilla extract in it. The deer were curious at first but quickly lost interest. Watch the whole video to see what showed up!
