The horse trails are amazing. I raised 2 daughters doing hours of these rides together. Best thing I ever did with my life. Hard work and reward. Good place for families to feel a part of nature. Your kids will look back some day. Mine do. My youngest at 34 just went out trail riding with a friend yesterday all day at the Charles Deam Wilderness Area south of Lake Monroe.

Beautiful and thank you for sharing. My favorite hike is around Ogle Lake. It’s a longer hike than Strahl Lake hike and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Hubby and I live in Indianapolis but we also have a little fishing cabin about 15-20 minutes from this park so we come to it often. Sometimes I come here by myself and drive through the park. Very therapeutic!

Did you happen to get at look at the tent sites? I have a tent with a 10 x 10 footprint. Most places seem to have sites big enough to pitch it well but I thought I'd ask. The only downside to backing up to nothing in a tent is the mosquitoes are so much worse in the trees 😅. I can work with that though!

Just came back from Iceland after a trip of 9 days. They built a wide bridge that you can drive across, (turn left at about 3 km before view point) then turn right on a very bumpy road for about 2km to a parking lot (at 1:45 in the video). 4x4 is recommended, but not necessary during good day. From there, walking about 3km to the Canyon, or you can hike 5km to the Canyon. BTW, there is nothing to see from the view point on west side, you HAVE TO go to the east side.

Great Vlog guys. Have visited Iceland 5 times doing the ring road once. I was lucky enough to see the Volcano erupting on the ring road trip in 2021 🌋 Amazing. Agree with you that driving the East was the best for me too. It may not have all the major tourist spots but that’s why I liked it so much. It was amazing land/sea scapes without the hordes. Heading to do the ring road again in May for 7 days so watching as many vlogs as I can. Brings back the memories 🇮🇸❤️
