NEW R211S ENTERS SERVICE on the Staten Island Railway!
A new look on Staten Island's Railway! The brand new R211S cars have now officially entered passenger service! These new cars will replace the aging R44 cars, which have been running on the island for the past 50 years since their debut in 1973! These new cars feature digital displays, new colored LED interior and exterior displays, wider doors, accessible seating, and more!

R160 cars 8329-8332 and 8369-8372 have received a new look on them. A vinyl wrap on advertising the men's fragrance MYSLF by YSL. This wrap first entered service on the J line despite using an R160 consist normally used on the L line, so this is one of the very few times we will see this wrap on the Jamaica J line. On the late nights between June 3rd to 7th, 2024, due to fastrack maintenance, (F) trains ran in two sections. 1. Between 179th St to Jay St-MetroTech, then via the (A) to Hoyt-Schermerhorn. 2. On the late evening of September 11th, 2024, R32 cars 3440-3441 and 3732-3733 were sent out of Pitkin Yard to 38th Street Yard to be sent off NYCT property to be scrapped. Pitkin hasn't had a wash in years. The wash train was converted into a track for the maintenance shed. For Pitkin trains to be washed, they would have to be sent up to 207th Street Yard to be washed there.
