"I am a survivor of physical/mental abuse, depression, and attempted suicide. I made this video in hopes of helping other young women or men to heed the warning signs and red flags of an unhealthy relationship. If something doesn't feel right, go with your gut. You have the power to determine your outcome. I hope that through my experience, if you have been or know someone who has dealt with these issues, that you will have a voice, make a difference, and share this. Join the movement...it starts with me and ends with you..." - Dani

"Things happen, and they're not your fault. But that doesn't have to be the end of you, it's a beginning of a new you. And it's hurtful, but you will survive. And I know that first hand because I lost my mother. And I just wished everday that I could just not be here anymore. But I know I am here for a reason. I am here to empower people and to encourage people." - Mounina Mounina's channel // ...

There are so many sick people in this world. I don't know how someone could do that to another person and not feel horribly guilty about it. Just the fact that it could traumatize and be painful to the other person is enough to stop anyone with a smidgeon of conscience.
Respect. Complete respect.
This is EXACTLY WHY you can NEVER ALLOW A stranger alone w ur drink. Like. Ever. If it’s not a friend or family tben WATCH YO ASS coz people can b evil. And regarding your parents my apologies my parents disowned me when I came out & only accepted me years later ( it was my retarded brainwashed Catholic alcoholic mom actually who told me I was going directly to hell…… which I replied: actually this is HELL) she was successful at ONE thing & that was at making life absolute HELL ON EARTH. Any who. YEARS LATER I forgave her. My dad just went along with the evil woman. Where was I?? Oh right. Yeah. You need to forgive them. Not for their health but for your own. I now have a GREAT relationship with my dad. My mom is an undiagnosed bipolar possibly multiple personality disorder, manic depressive addict ( she’s ten or so years sober) so yeah. I have CRAZY boundaries with her now. Im sorry u went through this but don’t ever forget that we also can CREATE our own families ( lots of gays did this way back b4 it was cool to b gay) and you have totally inspired me to share my story & to help others who have gone through violence from family & the world. There is a light at the end of every tunnel!! Great big hug from me to you! Ron in south Texas
I'm really sorry ..
"Because you CHOSE to be gay." Yeah right, because no straight man ever gets raped. Who you fall in love with is NOT a choice.
You seem decent and genuine. Also intelligent and articulate. Thanks for sharing your trauma.
I’m so sorry that happened to you. You seem like a strong intelligent man who is dealing with that horrible experience no one should ever have to deal with. Sending love and support your way.
Apologize for the ignorant people that you have in your life because you got a friend like me we be in the car we be back on the way where that brown lives and Presto change-o you would have been Vindicated
Thanks for telling your story and helping so many people. Good luck in your life journey!
You are such a kind and strong soul.
I'm sorry you were met with such indifference. Luckily the majority of people out there don't mean us harm. I was 18 and pretty naive. It was 1980 and I hadn't really dated. I had a major crush on a friend of a friend. He was in his mid 20's he seemed like he was smart, responsible had a nice apartment, was really handsome (blond with a beard). I went too his apartment, and it was nice I was excited to be around an adult man. I can't remember if he asked me or just gave me the MDMA (which I had no idea what it would do) I woke up been forced to have sex. I just remember feeling really depressed and low. I thought is this how it is? I will never forget that in the morning he basically kicked me out. I remember thinking how this guy could be so mean. I was coming down and was very confused. I had to go home and pretend to my mom nothing was wrong. I never bealived things like this affect a person long term but looking at myself now I guess it did.
i listen to this and it makes me cry, i was raped at 5 years old, and it continued until 13. and this guilt i have sometimes is so overwhelming. im married to a woman, but still these ghost still haunt me. for the longest i thought i was gay, and have pulled back from sex all together. as a child i was never allowed to determine my own sexuality. and thats a whole different conversation.
The British soap opera series "EastEnders" recently had a storyline of gay male date rape which was quite a bit like Jason's story. I hope you're doing well now, Jason.
I very much enjoyed listening to you. Handsome, kind, empathetic, honest. Hats off to you Jason.
I was raised by conservative parents and even I told my mom that my uncle molested me when I was a little girl she wanted to know all the details because she didn't believe me. I never told her anything else after that.
This young man's parents are shameful failures ... and not because they have a gay son.
It is really hard to accept it as a abuse and assault. The healing process comes afterwards.
I am. N American n speak en but i cant follow this bloke at all!
Brave to be able to talk about it even, oh, and killer hair!!
You blew my mind! Your Father's reaction to you being drugged and raped... would he have given those "words of wisdom" to his Daughter???? That's one sick dude if he's using that as his pat answer to his aff-spring for having been violated!! Ida prob shot him.
Brave man!
I'm so happy to see fellow make victims I'm so sick of hearing we need to protect women it makes me so stressed and makes me feel unvalitated
Supporting you and all boys and men who have been abused sexually, spiritually, physically and emotionally. Blessings on your healing journey. You have a voice...help is available...Dr.. Kelli Palfy Author of Men Too: Unspoken Truths About Male Sexual Abuse.
Totally resonate with you, Jason, having had to endure the 'scars' of betrayal from my own father & a sick society in general. However let's remember we are indeed in essence greater than the physical & mental components we tend to identify with which are after all temporal; & it's by checking into the eternal awareness space within ourselves that we can heal these 'wounds', allowing the Grace to bathe whatever it is that arises in the mind/body without reacting to/judging anything......everything from the most pleasant to the most painful, as we relax in this realm of infinite Pure Consciousness. With time all of these wounds will heal, as we remain anchored in the present, for which using a meditation practice helps immensely. Other practices such as grounding/earthing, bioenergetics, dancing & the like also help release trauma, enabling us to live life to the fullest by releasing the deep rooted psychological stuff that would otherwise keep us bogged down in past unpleasant subconscious impressions that can make life really miserable, multiplying the pain of all that has already happened to us. Let's be thankful that there is indeed a way out of our suffering, & this is a lifelong healing process Wish you all the very best.

We have to end the stigma. It is only the fault of the rapist. I would always support someone who was raped no matter what the gender. They need support
thank-you and be with people to care for you
It’s always disconcerting for me when people talk about other people when they are suppose to be talking about themselves. Reason being they still are projecting!
This is almost exactly what happened to me. I stand with you, bro.
OMG u are so brave and dignified and admirable, You are also so strong and are an inspiration to others who have been abused in any way whether that is sexual or emotionally abused/ let down by those that are supposed to love you (parents). Your strength shines like a light to others.Thank you for speaking out and by doing so helpling many other people. You are so inspiring and so cool.
WHAT, the guy who assaulted him was still texting him like that is normal. That's twisted, its mind bottling.
Wow. I am glad you can talk about it. Thank you for sharing your story. Your parents were and probably still are ignorant. Yes, men get raped but not always by men. I have a good friend when he was 12 was raped by his best friend's mom. He does not look at it that way, but she took advantage of a 12 year old boy. He was not old enough to consent. It has really affected him to this day, but I feel for him.
No baby. You are pure and in my heart.
The reaction of the parents is appalling! If I had children, I would be so supportive of them. I don’t blame him for cutting them off as I would do the same. They don’t realize how fortunate they are to have their child confide in them. It is their huge (and one day regretful) loss. Sending ❤️ his way..
Agree Mom and Dad need to exercise empathy and compassion!!
😊😊😊😊 big hand to you, Jason, you are so courage and brave ☺️☺️☺️☺️
This happened to me . I also was friendly to the guy after because the whole thing was surreal. He gave me an STD, nice parting gift.
Thank you for your courage and sharing your story. It's heartbreaking that you went through all of this. Sending you love, prayers & hugs. ❤
Wow, thank you for sharing
A guy who meets a stranger at a bar and decides to go home with him is 99.99999% likely to have sex with him. Is there a .01% chance that he won't , of course. The reality is, you don't go back to some stranger's house unless you want privacy to do more than just "talk". The guy who drugged him is still in the wrong, and Jason certainly didn't deserve to be assaulted. I've been in situations where a guy out of nowhere comes up and offers me an open drink at a bar and I politely refuse; if I can't see the bartender serve it or I didn't open it myself or a drink is made out of my view then I don't drink it. Had a guy offer me to go back to his cabin somewhere and I told him flat out "I don't know you from Adam - sorry but I can't". Dude could've been a serial killer or the best sex of my life, either way I wasn't gonna find out. Guys and gals -- world is full of predators so be smart and don't put yourself or your friends in risky situations.
I'm sorry that this happened to you. God bless you
I love everything about you 💙
Never be ashamed to speak out. You WERE a victim.
Some people don't have friend or family.
I'm so sorry this happened to you, and that your family wasn't there for you. Wanted to give you a big dad hug here. Thanks for the work you are doing to bring light to male sexual assault. Keep going!!!
Why do they want to always blame the victim? How about telling the perpetrator they need need to control themselves instead!
it happens, your okay, millions relate, sadly but true... thank you for shedding light,
For me it happened so fast it was over before I could even respond. It was a "boyfriend" and I was 41 yrs old. I blamed myself until a friend of mine helped me come to terms with it. I felt like I should've been able to prevent it. Then I went to a clinic to get tested for STD's and the dr and nurse at the clinic just rolled their eyes at me. Never been so humiliated. If nobody believes a 41 yr old, how they ever believe a child.
The emotional damage that your left with, plus the fact that people react un-sympathetic. WOW, your strong for even sharing this RESPECT.
im sorry but that response from BOTH of the parents is just pure EVIL. Its not unexpected though.
I'm so glad you're working on returning to a better life. You are a fine young man, stong and caring. That monster (not to defend him) is a fucked up loser. He probably targeted you from the first time he met you. You are without a doubt not the only one he has done that to. Best wishes in your journey to growth and happiness. You deserve it.
