kuki claimed themselves as tribe but they also stays in valley region just like imphal valley region. They were brought into Manipur around 100 years ago and they can enjoy ST status but Meitei has been in Manipur along with Naga for around 2000 years but Meitei dint enjoyed ST status. The current conflict first started from Churachandpur in April28 by buring down a gym which is supposed to be innaugarated by the C. M and after that they held a peace rally in May3, a peace rally with automatic weapons on their arms(video proof). On that day some Nagas were also join in the said rally bcoz nagas also oppose meitei to be included in ST list. After the rally Kukis started flushing Meitei out of Kuki Dominated area by killing, raping, burning down houses etc. But Nagas never did something so inhumane things. Some Kuki says they started the conflict bcoz CM did something wrong to the kuki people but why did they did something inhumane to innocent people? Some kukis even says they started the conflict bcoz meitei burned down their Anglo kuki war Memorial, who is gonna burnned down the memorial gate which are located in kuki dominated area plus there is lots of active kuki militants in that said area? And last Imphal valley is surrounded by 15 kuki miltants camps along with thousands of bunkers and they rain down bullets, mortars in the periphery area of imphal and killed many. And they act like they are the victims in national medias using tribals card. Its meitei vs kuki not meitei vs Tribal, remember tribal include Nagas but Nagas is never join in the current conflict. Btw Meitei is also a tribe, Manipur flag has 7colours representing 7tribe.
