Hi yes ex Royal Navy my last ship was HMS TARTAR a Tribal class frigate that served as the West Indies Squadron Guard Ship in the 60s visited the States many times Merry Chritmas.

As an ex Royal Navy Officer i was just looking though youtube and came across it Thought that looks interesting so I bought it just to see if my navy skills are still alive lol and now i loved it many memories and ive got hooked will be having another go. Ahhh thanks for that C G Wll be watching Tom. Yes we are fine here. Still sorting though about 4 to 5 days of footage of my last trip and getting little confused on which days are which normally put them in seperate folders on my laptop but if i remember my laptop broke down so installed them on a portable hard drive and now they are all mixed up so it looks like a mixture of stuff coming up lol

@@pullypoolman I used to live near the ashby canal however, i didn't have a clue it even existed at the time lol looking back i wish i had known about it because it is proper nice and peaceful :-) looking forward to watching more of your uploads pully :-)

@@C...G... I understand its very beautiful so im glad im going to explore it. Think it might take me 3 days to get there but im in no hurry. Then might go up the Coventry arm to its basin maybe see a bit of Coventry as far as you can go then return back to Napton, Wigrams turn to my new home base. Leaving the 7th July so vids probally be up Aurgust time cheers

Interesting Artical C G but i think changing the presant system would take many many years. I have a new engine which should last another 30 yrs proball longer than the boat life. Also the CRT are responsible for leaving green wood on the canal bank for boaters for their stoves. I use smokless fuel never have i burnt wood aparts from kinding to get it started. Oh well such is progress just have to see what happens

@@C...G... ha ha ha ha My next trip out is the second of March 2019 with a new crew member unfortunatly my camera has taken a turn for the worsed so im hopeing to get a new one for that trip just back into Birmingham and mayby down the stratford canal. End of March will be moving to a new marina to explore a different part of the network so keep a lookout cheers

The Drawbridge Inn is in Shirly suburb of Birmingham on the North Stratford Canal after the draw bridge i turn round and head back towards the Birmingham Worcester towards Alvechurch end up going back though the Brandwood tunnel hope this makes sense lol

Shirly is a suberb of Birmingham on the North Stratford canal got a drawbridge and pub stayed there overnight before turning around and heading back to the Birmingham Worcester Canal to turn left towards Alvechurch my marina lol
