I've just inherited this same amplifier and a McIntosh MX114 tuner preamp. Could you tell me what kind of speakers I would need to run for them. All I have at the moment are a pair of Jensen CS-310's. * 50 watts continuous power. *125 watts peak power *sensitivity 91db. I've been using these speakers, which sounds great, but is this a bad idea and far as potentially damaging?

The best sound? When driven by TAD preamp. All my power amp driven by TAD seems to sound very good as I have noticed. As per observation, TAD is a good sounding preamp. I start to like Tom Tutay's design and listen more on it than the rest of my preamps. Sounds excellent on Rotel RHB-10 and Logan Labs by Ed Logan.

This McINTOSH is currently driven by Rogue Audio 99 preamp but is wired and switchable to be driven by Belles Soloist 3, Adcom GFP 750, PL 3300 Series II, Transitional Audio Design/Tom Tutay preamps and currently driving a Polk Audio Lsi9 but can be swiched to Kilpsch Forte speakers.
