Hey, I'm looking at doing a similar yj. How does it handle on streets? Any wheel hop in the rear?
I bought a 92 recently, has a D44 like yours with 3" tube housing with 5 lug wheels. Are these ford hubs ? im trying to figure out what i have so i can order some parts to rebuild it. rotors etc. Also, are the front and rear springs stock height? thanks

I have the same axle set in my barn waiting for me to pull the trigger. Do you have a parts list on swapping that 44 to a 5.55 lug?

I did a custom driveshaft in the rear as a result of the stretch and sye. I did soa and the stretch at same time. Def changes drive angle.

that anti wrap system is genius
Man I’d do a Cummins 4bt swap those lil jeep 4 bangers suck. If not do a LS swap there’s plenty of kits that makes it relatively easy. Definitely get a winch and a few light bars as well. Besides that great build.

Hello I’m in NJ too. Nice Jeep love all those must have upgrades. Your door close strap gave me an idea as mine passages on side broke lol but I was wondering did you send it to someone to get them re gear I’m thinking going for 4.88 after mine Ford 8.8 swap what do you think I’m currently on 33s and want to upgrade to 35s also doing a 1inch body lift from Rough as currently I sit in 2inch shackle lift
Nope I built the axles. I actually sold the Jeep last year. 4.88s are good. I’d prolly step up to 5:13s but you may have to change out the housing. Might be a good time to drop in a mechanical locker. There are a few gear calculators to help you. I think 5:13s are like a no looking back option. I would scan the Jeep forums for something similar to your rig specifically motor and trans and ask get reviews on their gearing setups. It’s a fun hobby but gets pricey. If you are patient and willing to learn, gearing axles are not difficult especially when not on the rig.
Note my old CJ5 leans to one side or the other after having just one person in it , new 2.5 springs , just the way it is I guess.

Looking at getting a yj and doing this but can’t find any info on if the driveshaft needs swapped after adding stretch kit. Is that something you had to do? Thanks in advance

I agree. Some hate them I love em. Plus I tow a 7x14 trailer sometimes so it makes a big difference.

Hi I've read one of you comment on other channel about a check engine light on your AT4. I too have an AT4 2019 and I'm experiencing an Engine check problem I'm just wondering if they ever fix the problem on your truck?
That was me. I did get a CEL and took it to dealer. After a few hours they came back and said the cause was low coolant. They say there may have been air in the system that naturally burped itself. So it needed a top off and light went off. 😂
Love it but here in North Carolina the State Troopers would have a field day writing you tickets. Here if you don't have fenders you get a ticket plus if you have fenders but the tires stick out over 1/2 inch you get a ticket. They say it's dangerous to other drivers because your tires will sling debris all over other vehicles

Ty Griffin been parked for last few weeks with minimal driving due to COVID-19. MPG is average 22m local. On highway I can get over 25mpg if driving safe 😂. I did have to take it in for a engine light from low coolant. So far loving the truck
What size rims are those? And what’s the width of of your tires?

Love the truck. I'm looking at getting an AT4 as well, also with the duramax. If you can get out in all this craziness, and do it safely, post a video of you driving around!
RedCrowWaterSounds I’ll try and take a video today for you. Is there anything specific that you would like to see? It’ sounds like a diesel, turbo sounds good, interior is very lux but also rugged. Overall I think the at4 package is a better option than the Denali bc it comes with a decent lift and offroad features making it more rugged but retain some lux characteristics of the Denali. I had a check engine light come on this week. Dealership fixed it after a day. Low coolant as a result of possibly air in the system from factory that eventually burped itself. After topping off, light came off and no more CEL. Made sense to me but had me worried
theyjcpa Just a video where you take it through its paces. Some acceleration, maybe some rough roads. Talk about how it handles and how it rides. No rush! These engines have so many sensors on them that they’re bound to have issues but that’s part of owning one of these. I wouldn’t worry too much.
