Driving at night can be challenging, stand by outside with no direct light and let your eye adjust naturally. Follow a trail of Chemlight, and use plenty of spacing distance.

Loved the Video.
i ve seen al lot of these m1076 trailers in Germany do someone now the new price?
Whatever happened to Task, Conditions, and Standards? What are the performance measures? What was the reference to time? This task should be judged by the standards not time. A plus for showing three points of contact. This video is great for promoting the units mission, as a training video, not so much.... You can do a much better job then this.
At the school house if you don’t give students a reasonable time, they just drag it out forever. That being said, stress under pressure and the sense of competition, create leaders that can think and operate under dangerous conditions. Plus the Army said this is the time they have to complete it. Thanks
No idea what this video is supposed to prove except someone has a drone and the RTU has too much time on their hands.
Well part of the training cycle is to show the students how to operate under low light conditions, or “Black Out” safely. The Drone was one of the students and was thrilled to be included in my project. Some people are bad at telling fellow soldiers what it was like to go through the course, or telling their families what an experience this was for them. Thanks for your comments, but lobbing Grenades around Willy Nilly was…. Unnecessary. Thanks. Welcome any time.
@@whitehatmike9867 sorry about tossing live ordnance your way. It was a cheap shot and not deserved, the videos are well made and only show a snap shot and meant to highlight the course. My hats off off to you and your fellow instructors, it takes a special person to be an instructor and spend hundreds of hours standing on the pad.
No worries, I’m tuff haha
I sure hope you don't spend a lot of time on this. Incorporating this into other driving course skills at the same time would be great
I spent 5 years standing watching students perform this and many other mundane tasks in pursuit of more challenging skills. Some come to us having never driven anything but mommy’s Honda, we operate on a “Crawl, Walk, Run” philosophy to promote confidence and the building blocks that become skill and usable life lessons. PS I mostly created this video around that cool Undercarriage Shot. Inspired by my love of the movie Smokey and the Bandit. Thanks
@@whitehatmike9867 five years, that takes dedication, are you full time? And do you run the courses over the students A.T. period? Two weeks is such a short period.
I was full time at the 88M Certification Course in SF NM. It was a 28 day course for MOS.
@@whitehatmike9867 trying to do that during AT would be rough
This video could really use some context, location? Unit? If this is a training video what is the task, conditions, and standards? Perhaps a split video showing the in cab view? POV of the operator, include audio to explain backing techniques. Give us a bit more and you will have a awesome video!
Great Comment! That was filmed as a training aid for the school house in Santa Fe NM. NMARNG 88M School. 515th RTI. I often thought a voice over would help a lot of these videos. Thanks
@@whitehatmike9867 the alley dock is one of the more challenging backing tasks, it Incorporates many skills into one. I know you are limited on time, how many and what types of backing tasks do you teach?
I should dub in a voice over because you are right there are tons of details to teach this. I always wanted to film it from above ! Haha Alley Dock, straight line, and couple/uncouple.
@@whitehatmike9867 I always liked using the figure 8, three barrels in a line, start on the right side, procede forward go around to the left of the second then to the right of the third. Reverse on the opposite side, Perhaps a little advanced but a great skill builder. Have you ever seen the A.I.M.'s driving course? Besides teaching you to maximize the space you have it teaches one how to move the trailer away from obstacles.
Nice! Yeah that would be cool for an advance course. I was trying to get the school house to sponsor a Truck Rodeo where we would go to the Transportation Units in our or nearby states and put their drivers thru the paces for bragging rights or prizes.
We're Oshkoshes that I served and my Rivian with charges ??? Ha??
I literally have no idea what you just said. Hope you enjoy the videos. Thanks
