I love Stipe and in his prime, he was the best heavyweight ever. However, the two Francis and 3 Cormier fights retired him. He got 'old'. And he never had good defense and never could slip punches. He purely relied on his chin, and this fight showed that he still has a damned good chin. But if you hit him, he freezes. He is slow and does not move first. He tries to counterpunch, and his reaction time is too slow. He lost some of the power he had when he was younger, too, it seems. The fight went down how I thought it would. Jones is too active, moves too well, and is too versatile. Way faster than Stipe and he just became a punching bag, as he did in many of his fights.
