Hello, I'm Matt!
I go by the name Expedishun, and I make videos on EVE: Online. While some of my videos are catered towards newer players, not all of them will be. Follow along on my journey through the New Eden, all the stuff I get into, all the ships I lose, all my loot being lost and collected.
See you among the stars.

Join a better corporation. Or, don't be whining about rules when your isk/hr goes up by 1000%... Your old Corp taught you and helped you make tons of isk and all you do is complain. Solo mining in jita is so dang boring. Better off reading a book or something. What's the point making isk if all you do is mining? I don't get it. Theres nothing admirable about mining in jita.
@@bustatron No one was complaining, in fact, the people in the corporation that don’t play anymore, I still speak with them because of how much they helped me. I didn’t complain, I simply said as to why I was a solo player, because they went their own ways.
Have you got discord? Would love to chat with you, being that you are from Northern Ireland.

2006 player here. I ran a corp back then and had a POS. I found the notepad I used to keep track of all the figures and it was crazy the work I was putting in running it all. We fell apart in the end and I logged off in 2010 but came back a year ago. Just me and my alts so far. It's fine.

Is this still working?, I'm using a Tengu with HAMs not much different to this to solo event sites.
I disagree with one claim you make, _"If you get into the top end of ships, you can make 400 million ISK/hour. If that's the only thing yo are doing, it gets bering very fast."_ I have not yet reached flying the top end of ships, but can make 300 million ISK/hour. Even when doing nothing else, this is far from boring for two reasons: The ships necessary for earning so much ISK/hour are very expensive which make these ships a priority kill target for other players. And actually making so much ISK/hour also requires a lot of piloting experience, research1and experimentation. It is very difficult to get to that level and it is very dangerous to perform at that level.
Players should measure their game success in "fun per hour" instead of "ISK per hour".
I log in and do whatever I feel like doing. If I ever need money, I buy PLEX. That's it. That's how I play Eve.
Uninstall?
Eve online is an expensive social game. You could easily spend the same money at the pub. There is no point playing it solo. Drinking alone is ok but not too long. You always get burned out. Grinding isks is absolutely pointless. It is a total waste of time and energy. CCP is greedy indeed, the business model is designed to swallow always more money, attract more players and makes this game both addictive and toxic. It could be much worse, it is becoming worse as time passes. The only problem is that It is a niche game, there is no other mmo similar to Eve. CCP very first idea was great. But Nothing positive can come out of CCP. All their side games actually suck big time. Most of the players try to turn this game into something better. Quitting Eve is probably the best advice you can give to players and to yourself.
I have enjoyed your vids and COMMENTARY. Best to you. Enjoy the family time.
UHmmm, not sure. I would say make the most isk/h is my main objective. The more isk the better in terms of satisfaction.
Thanks for your videos, enjoyed them!
Ive tried just about everything in eve now. I have a toon that specialises in each area of the game so i can plex based on what i want to do that month. The thing that will make you the most isk will always be doing whatever you enjoy and not thinking about it. Yeah spinning ishtars and hunting merc in null blocks made me a lot of isk. But i never truly cared for it so i didnt give it my all and so id lose my ships too easy and never made money. Now im doing some solo corp roleplay stuff on my own tucked away in npc space and im making shedloads of isk and doing fun stuff. Honestly if youre not enjoying eve, do something else. Weather that be in eve or out. Hope youre doing well man, never let a videogame become a mental health condition.
EVERY TIME I talk about working on getting my carrier the first response is “marauders are better”… that’s not why I want one. I started in 2010 and my first goal was a carrier but I was high sec care bear. A year ago I joined my first null sec corp so I finally have a chance to get that goal. Also, carriers management just looks fun.
I used to multibox 3 Thanatos' in null sec ratting. Was pretty sweet. I currently have 2 Nyx's which have been rotting offline in null for the last 6 years since I lost all interest. lol
so tru, i was gunning for 1bill. once i reache that i do what ever i want, because i dislike the grind..and somhow the other billions was there fast :D btw...what weapon am i watching in the vid?
1 billion is so space poor brother... come fly for the horde and we will change your entire view of the game. This video may make you make the switch It changed my whole eve life ruclips.net/video/BYmHk8sREBs/видео.html
True...Just keep in mind, there is no way to plex your account from ISK if you are not playing the game as a second job. Trust me, I tried and burned out within 3 months. Especially if you have limited time to play daily (aka. you have RL). Currently I play as a happy alpha, not grinding, doing wathewer I like. If I have enough ISK I buy a month omega, and do LVL4, epic arcs, or COSMOS mission. Also without active subscription I don't have the urge to play the game I paid for and I play other games as well.
Industry, planetary industry, (using all 3 characters per account) and a single abyss t6 abyss run a day will plex up an account, certainly if it's the 12+ month subscription. And at some point you're just selling skills since you have all you need.
@@sidneygray51 Sure, you just need 1-2 bill and a year of training to run T6 abyss. As I mentioned it's not possible if you have only 1-2 hours of play time a day. Do some recalculations as a daz 0 alpha character. It's easy to maintain PLEXing if you already have the knowledge, the infrastructure, the ships and the isk.
Don't understand that people play for Isk. I have always played for fun 🎉
I have fun making ISK 🥰
and how do you pay for all those fun ships?
Isk/hr peeps are so stupid when Isk can literally be bought with IRL $ for so cheap. 1 hr at work with a part time job even for young people, is billions of Isk. So when you play Eve, play for fun instead, do what is fun first. Do what which you enjoy, its a game.
On a serious note, welcome back, I haven't been playing for about two years, the game just lost all appeal for me. However, I continue to subscribe, and I will very rarely interact with players who have to plex their accounts, that's a job, I don't do work when I'm supposed to be having fun. Eve is just not fun, and I never mined, and have 50++ billion ISK. I'm not sure I will ever play Eve again.
Completely get where you're coming from. It got to a point where I've started feeling like I have to log in and make ISK. Thats when I had to give myself a shake, games are suppose to be fun and relaxing. Not work.
Stop playing?
o7
o7
my main activity is mission running, been doing it for years. I never have done an efficient method of isk, just play the game the way you enjoy it
If only more people viewed it this way
50b? who are these poors? also dont be daft. I will sort your subs out from here on in man, the stuff I get from the refferal program goes back to peeps just for these types of things. Warframe is pretty cool, hit mr30 earlier this year and sorta dropped it though. EIther way with the Eve stuff, if your proper done then obv I can take your stuff and make good use out of it for the community etc, just before the spam starts ha. Look forward to the new channel. Also link new channel nerd.
I appreciate it the offer! But, tbh, I think I am done. What I will do is take some time, come back after the wedding and see how I feel about it. I've gifted a few things to some people, but If I am done, what I will do is, contract you some stuff for your peeps!
I noticed that people that don't play in null typically worry about isk/hr instead of what's more fun. From my experience, progressing from high to low to null, I don't have to worry about how much I'm making because the alliance I'm in helps me to find things I like to do that also make me isk. Focusing only on plexing your account with isk will sap your will to play and stop you from enjoying the game, especially with the current price of PLEX. Join a group that does what you like to do, and your current opinion about this game will change. I promise you, and you'll make tons of isk
@@Expedishun I'd be more interested in the toons tbh, legitimatly ofcorse :). Hit me up when the time comes. Link me that new channel to when its up lad.
Hey, o7, as a father of 2 5months old twins, I totally understand the short time to play... Nonetheless eve gives you the opportunity to progress while offline and here and there you can log in a keep working towards your personal eve goals... Join a low requirement corp... Otherwise... Let me be the 1st... Can I have your stuff? Lol... Keep safe!!! 7o!!!
I would love to be able to join a corp and have all the problems Im facing to disappear, but sadly that isn't the fix. I was waiting on the "Can I have your stuff!" hahah
Great advice.

Your story about learning about jet canning was an AWWWWW moment.
@@craneology I learn stuff pretty fast, then there is other things that take me wayyyyyy too long to figure out
You know that 2.5s align time is basically 3s align time? You can get the Jackdaw align time under 2s with a rig, low slot or agility implant. At least for when you are traveling, 2s align time is safe, 3s isn't.
@@BrunoMoozika when it comes to the jackdaw, no one has been able to catch me, and I’ve went through gate camped gates with it (if I had have known the were camped, i definitely would not have went through it though) Either I’m not able to be caught because I can warp away fast enough. Or people don’t care about me.
@@Expedishun Even 2s align time can be caught, so 3s is very risky for lowsec. You might not have been caught once or twice, but you will be caught at a gate camp eventually with a 3s align time.
Rookie numbers, need to push those numbers up xd.
@@zaqq rookie numbers from a rookie 😂
You got very lucky indeed. They have a 5% chance to trigger escalation which means 1/20 sites. I generally find fast L4 mission running to be higher avg isk/hr than hunting these high sec sites. Between 5% chance, then RNG drops, then on top of this, low-sec escalations that are worthless to me so its wasted. Edit: I recently spent 3 hours straight doing these sites, got 2 escalation, 1 in low-sec, and 1 in null-sec, which is hilarious for 4/10 escalations.
If you’re just spamming hideaways and refuges for the 4/10 you don’t need fancy ammo. Just use the auto targeting and orbit something. Frigates are a 1 tap and destroyers are 2 volleys. Anoms will respawn in the same constellation so you don’t need to go far, going round in circles is just as effective. I switch to a cruiser for the 4/10 so I can tank the npc’s and just go straight for the loot.
The reason I used the fit and ammo I did, is just because it was easy to do not just normal combat sites, but also the escalation sites too. The ease of not having to swap out sites. Generally speaking though, I usually use, Skybreaker and Stormbringer for speed.
My best recommendation for PvE that isn't mind numbing and makes bank is skipping combat anomalies and just hunting DED sites, sometimes you won't find any and sometimes they don't pay out but when they do they REALLY pay out, as you found with the escalations. Skip all the salvaging and loot gathering, just focus on scanning the sites down and blitzing them as fast as possible, only looting the boss. Note that I don't hang out near Jita, so I'm not competing against other people in the same site. I'm also usually in losec but I've tested the same process in hisec.
I knew that I was doing it for the video, that's the main reason for not only doing the normal combat sites, but also looting and salvaging them. Generally speaking, I usually use something like Skybreaker to speed run sites.
@@ExpedishunSkybreaker gang! So expensive and so much overkill but so much fun. I go through and scan all the sigs in local systems then come through in a Skybreaker or Vedmak depending on the difficulty to clear them.
@@TheLime-wd3yu that’s the problem with Skybreaker, no matter what other ships you run, it won’t beat the speed of a skybreaker, so you always find yourself going back to it.
Good to hear your Irish tones loud and clear again!
Thanks mate! Definitely won't be using the other microphone again!

Hey i love the video. I would greatly appreciate if you could enhance your audio quality in the future. Cheers
Apologies, I tried something different here and it didn't work, so back to usual for next video onwards
Wormholes are so much safer and faster than highsec death trap systems.
Wormholes still have an element of fear for me haha
@@Expedishun They're not as scary as Uedama. :)
Its truly incredible how fast you get ganked when you go afk lol. Ive watched a system for hours and see nothing than afk to the bathroom for 30 seconds and boom dead
I could spend hours staring at my screen with nothing, as soon as I look away, done in seconds
There are some small tweaks to your gameplay that would vastly improve your survival rate: 1. Know thine enemy - Do the math and calculate the value of your potential drop to gankers, set that against the cost of ganking you. If it is in favour of the gankers.. then you are a target. Increasing tank will increase the cost to gank you. Watch their zkillboards, see where they are active. 2. When docking at a station, especially a trade hub use insta-dock bookmarks. Never just warp to station because you will never land at zero. 3. Use an alt scout to jump ahead of your route and with practice you will see a trap before you run into it. A bumping macheriel on the gate? Dock up and wait.
All good points and tips, I definitely have taken some steps myself, the main one being, I've no real need for a Freighter, as of right now, so one has been sold, the other in storage. I do also, have a scout alt in certain systems. Thanks for the tips!
When Im hauling more than 2b I always have an alt scout/cyno ahead
I would do the same, but at this point, there's no need for me to do it, so I have my scouts planted in certain systems now
Thanks for sharing, Im sure many of us can relate to doing this sort of thing. You know you shouldnt but you do...
It's always a bad idea, but we never stop!
