Looks good for background objects and as 3d references but hero assets and anything animated would need to be modelled by skilled hands.

I don't think some of those last steps are necessary to import it into blender but okay.

What's the topology like? A lot of the time with this type of generation topology is too dense or high to be practically used in game, especially if you have thousands of assets. It's neat, but it'll take an actual artist to retopologise the model, unwrap it and texture it, at which point, for a lot of game assets, would be easier to just create the manually from scratch.

interesting, currently getting an error after 'generate' button.. I'd try the code myself but I'm on cuda 12 and I've found running 11 and 12 causes issues with a variety of things. love the concept though. if blender has issues with the high poly counts, I wonder about meshmixer ad 3dcoat for those steps. but it also looks like it has simplify settings in the export, so not sure about the problem someone else mentioned. would love to try it out though.

Tried using it, and it produces models that are unusable for games. They have errors due to the AI hallucinating, a high poly count and messy topology. When I tried to lower the poly count in Blender, the decimate modifier just garbled the model because it couldn't handle the topology. Sure, you can clean up the model manually, but that saves you perhaps 5-10% of total time spent. What this could be useful, to some degree, is allowing 2D concept artists to quickly visualize how the finished model might look like so they can improve the concept or show it to management. Much more niche, but at least viable.

Update: I haven't seen any evidence that Easy Anti Cheat has been compromised. In other words, the concern around EAC was a false alarm. You are fine to play Easy Anti Cheat games on PC or on console.

I will never get why 343 decided to change from the arbiter anti-cheat which was actually pretty secure to easy anti-cheat

What if I'm on console? I play Halo Infinite and I'm scared to boot it up after they implemented easy anti cheat.

id recommend keeping up with pirate software on the situation. currentyl there is no evidence of RCE in any sort of way. not to say its not possible, just not plausible. it looks like with current information that the 2 end users (hal and gen) is having their computers compromized. theres been other stuff that this /these hackers have been doing, like being able to crash / shut down game servers, giving players packs, spawning a bunch of bots... and this all looks like according to pirate software, to be some sort of server issue, either the hackers having access to said servers (less likely) or the server accepting commands / instructions it really shouldnt (more likely). key note here is that apparantly the hacker has been using the server ID displayed ingame with performance metrics on. so Hal had this on, meaning it was easily accessible on stream, but after turning that off he has had less issues. the hacker can also snipe and be in the game himself, and get the server ID that way, but that needs more work, likely how he does it tho. but yeah, currently looking a lot like compromized computers on end user, and also servers accepting shit they shouldnt, or being accessed by ppl it shouldnt be. this all kinda lines up with EAC not finding and being comfortable saying they dont think theres anything being exploited on their end. thats not to say ppl should play tho. if u play, there is a risk cus we still do not know. there is no hard evidence of what exactly is going on and how its happening, but theres a LOT of pointers toward there not being a big issue for the average player. play at ur own risk.
