0:47 just something i saw: before you do the 3 mover, there’s a pre-solved triple that you could have preserved by moving it out of the way beforehand
Yeah I noticed that when editing😅 I was so focused on showing how to create centers that I guess I had tunnel vision and wasn't as focused on the solve like I normally am, but good eye! I think you were the first to notice that as far as I know!
Nice tutorial!

YESSSSSSSS SO HAPPY FOR YOU also this reminds me that my first time ever getting an official avg on mega was sub 1:50 lol
@@newjerseykimchi Thank you NJ!!!! This was definitely the best feeling I've ever had with any Official Megaminx Avg, as you can tell at the end, I couldn't even hold it in, I was happy to achieve what I thought would take me years to get!
Do you think you can beat my avg of 1:46?
@@ClocSolver almost did in Ardmore! Just need a little push lol
Do you live in Oklahoma now?
@@DBCubes yeah I live in Oklahoma now, I've lived here for about a year and a half now
@@DBCubes honestly I'd say it was sad to leave Colorado at first, but Oklahoma has given me so many unforgettable experiences that I would've missed out on had I not moved out here!
@@RubiksRonaldo nice
My favorite
@@layfettemayle thank you! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Not sure if you realized this, post-upload, but the yellow face looks green (at least on my end); had me completely confused, thinking, how could orange be on the left, blue be on the right, but with green on the top? You had me looking for my own cube to make sure I wasn't going crazy!!! Did you film this under a green light?
That's very odd, I feel like I've gotten so used to this lighting that I've never noticed before lol I filmed under some natural sunlight, which was a bit blue since the sun wasn't shining directly onto the table anymore
Just curious, what pyraminx do you main?
@@platinumpengwinmusic5564 I just main the Moyu Weilong Pyraminx, nothing too crazy, I did try the Gan Pyraminx and wasn't a big fan tbh
Say how we do it, not just showing us what will happen
@@nimra-vc7zu I was just showing how your puzzle is supposed to look during each step, for the full in depth tutorial, watch the video linked below, and you'll get the full 30 minute tutorial!
no
@@Fperm-t6g it's okay, FTO isn't for everyone
@@RubiksRonaldo I can't, because i don't have one
@@Fperm-t6g oh I see, you should definitely consider investing in one, it's very fun, different and challenging
Man thsi was hard j prem was better😊
@@MinhTrancubingyeah, J Perm makes it look a lot easier, but I'm glad I have my own version of this tutorial for anyone who needs it!
I know but it was just a joke tho
@@MinhTrancubingah gotcha

yep, It was quite crazy lol
Yippee TY so much Edit: was supposed to be a hard challenge
Yeah, it was too hard, but I'm glad I pulled it off!
Make a challenge for me has to be about pyraminxs
@@MinhTrancubing Attempt to solve a Pyraminx blindfolded, all you'll need is a stupid easy scramble lol
@@RubiksRonaldo pick something else cuz I don’t have a blindfold and it to hard probably
@@MinhTrancubing the challenge is for it to be hard is it not? Just like this challenge felt impossible for me, that challenge will take you out of your comfort zone

You can do AdjOpp with a 2 slice setup to AdjAdj as well: AdjOpp (FR/FB): 0-1 W' (U' M u) W' 01 OppAdj (FB/FR): 10 D u (U' M u) u' D' -10 with normal-ish notation: AdjOpp (FR/FB): 0,-1 / U' / U / U' / 1,1 / 2,-1 / U' / U / 0,1 OppAdj (FB/FR): 1,0 / D / 2,-1 / U' / 1,1 / 2,-1 / -2,1 / D' / -10
Where is my shoutout btw
@@MinhTrancubing I'm in Colorado right now, I'm not able to edit, not to mention I'm trying to figure out a good layout for that vídeo template
@@RubiksRonaldook also have a fun time in Colorado btw
The face you made in the tumbnile was so funny
Yeah it was too funny not to upload 🤣
Been cubing for years; but never went beyond a 5x5 or a ghost cube. They were my limits. These things look like they offer a whole load of headaches; yet they look so cool. Interesting to see you handle it. I can't imagine the feeling of pride (and relief) you get from solving this beast.
@@EngineerNotFound I definitely felt light headed after solving this, and it's really fun challenging myself this way, cause I never know what challenges I'll run into until you finally start solving it
Hola roni
Hola!
couldn't you just do 0-1 -30 -21 03 -1-1 1-2 2-1 30 when you have opp on top?
I'm not too sure, I'll have to check it out later though
@@anja.k4 just checked and yes the algorithm works and I guess could work as an alternative algorithm, I just find it easier to only worry about D moves(besides a couple moves from the opposing side) it's a much easier alg to learn which is why I made this video as a tutorial
Nice job dude
@@celeneamaro7713 thank you! Fto is seriously such an interesting puzzle!
Now that's a pb with parity
It wasn't a PR single but I did get a PR average and this solve solidified it too
@@RubiksRonaldo I know I call averages pb with parity if it was a pb average with a parity solve in it
@@GiovaniSierra-0 ah gotcha, understood!
truncated icosahedron. a icosahedron is the dual of the dodecahedron and vice versa so you can get a corner turning icosahedron puzzle (icosamate) and if you truncate that you get this puzzle, so yeah this is just a megaminx shape mod.
@@necoluga7950 very interesting, I wanted to memorize the name of this shape before the video, but seriously wanted to have no info going into the solve, it was a fun shape mod though, had lots of fun solving it!
@@RubiksRonaldo you should take a look at the digonal trapezohedron puzzle :sneed:
@@necoluga7950 I definitely will, I'm always down for a new challenge!
somehow watching this video made me think about that moment when we both realized we were at nats 2023 but didn’t even see each other there 😭😭😭💀💀💀 nice vid tho lol, super happy to have another episode of the “attempting to solve” series!
@@newjerseykimchi lol how did this video remind you of that😭🤣 But thanks! I put so many hours of work into this video, glad you enjoyed it!
@@RubiksRonaldo honestly i have no clue 😭😂
@@newjerseykimchi well don't worry, I'm sure we'll see each other at a comp someday🥹
Yo ronaldo i just got an fto, Any tips for fto, I'm still learning the edges
@@GiovaniSierra-0 have an open mind going into it, and treat the hexagons as centers
@@RubiksRonaldo Thanks, still struggling on the edges but corners and triangles are pretty good
@@GiovaniSierra-0 It'll get some getting used to, but you'll get the hang of it for sure!
@@RubiksRonaldo Thanks now I'm sub 2 💀
@@GiovaniSierra-0 it's okay, we all started from somewhere, I used to average barely under sub-2, it just takes time and practice
No
Well now's a good time to learn! it'll definitely open your eyes in many ways
I barely understood my pyraminx hollllly
@@rocketfish7408 yeah Pyraminx to FTO is a huge jump in difficulty, even after all the knowledge you get from years of cubing you still find it hard to solve the FTO, it's such a beast of a puzzle😭
Yeah btw where was my shoutout?
@@MinhTrancubing hey believe it or not, I've finally finished filming that video! I'm working on the editing, but it's tough to edit a lot since I got work and stuff, regardless I hope it'll be out soon!
@@RubiksRonaldo ok
Wow, Ronaldo! At this rate, you're going to need a new trophy shelf just for your PRs! I mean, 2:00.07 for 5x5 and a 1:59.78 BPA? Are you sure you are not secretly training with a cheetah? Keep it up, and you might just finish a solve before I can decide what to have for breakfast!
@@testing_d36 lol thanks, I've really been trying to maintain my PR streak going! Currently I'm at 10 comps without losing it, so not too bad! I'm still chasing after that sub-2 5x5 average tho!
@@RubiksRonaldo Wow, 10 comps without a loss? At this rate, you'll need to start charging admission for your PR streak! Just remember, chasing that sub-2 5x5 average is like trying to catch a greased pig exciting, slippery, and probably going to end with you face-first in the mud! Keep up the awesome work and may the cube gods be ever in your favor!
@@testing_d36 thanks! I hope I can keep on improving!
NAWWWWWW but hey a pr is a pr 👌
I know, right? It's like getting a participation trophy for showing up to the race but tripping over your own shoelaces! But hey, a PR is a PR! Now we just need to figure out how to turn those tears into confetti for the next celebration. Who knew heartbreak could be so... productive?
@@newjerseykimchi I left that round so happy cause I actually thought I clutched out the sub-2 but hey I know my consistency is there, I just need to clutch it out!
YES TYSM I WASNT ABLE TO LEARN A Z PERM IT WAS TOO HARD BUT TYSM THIS IS EASIER TYSM TYSM
@@dynamortishamdanehren362 you're welcome! I also found the other z-perm much harder to learn, I still use this alg for comps
LFGGGGGGG RONALD!!!!! I FREAKING KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!!!! (also this reminds me of that time when i finally got a sub 30 single :D)
@@newjerseykimchi thank you NJ! I'm still not quite at the sub 30 single barrier yet, but hope to one day get there!
@@newjerseykimchi by the way NJ, I posted a Poll recently and wanted to know which Angle I should start posting my unofficial solves in, could you by any chance check it out and take a vote?
@@RubiksRonaldo alr just took a look at it 👍
@@newjerseykimchi thank you NJ!
Impossible
@@MinhTrancubing oh trust me, anything is possible if you set your mind to it and practice hard for it!
True but I’m to lazy to do fto only pyarminx for me lol
@@MinhTrancubing well I'm trying to be an all rounder, so I have to put equal effort in all events, tho there's curtain events I definitely prefer to practice and therefore I improve much faster at those events
Average fto solve
Yeah that's true lol
as a cuber, i can confirm that we have a punching power of 800 (frfr no cap)
Exactly 800 too lol
Go fto go fto
@@MinhTrancubing indeed indeed, it's so fun and different to anything else I have done up to this point
NOOOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭 sub 50 soon tho trust also this reminds me of the two times i locked up out of sub 30 singles 😭
@@newjerseykimchi yeah, my heart dropped at the end, cause I basically had a guaranteed sub 50 average with any counting time, but I had to get WPA instead 😭
