To be honest, most filmmakers don’t like anyone else’s films as much as theirs. They’re all pretty diplomatic saying they like something because they’re always hunting for their next job. QT can afford to be honest.

My hill to die on is that Crystal skull was a really good movie. It has some silly parts like the monkey swinging, the magnetic gunpowder and the nuclear fridge, but I don't think they detract from the great chemistry of the cast, the excellent villain, the beautiful locations and the iconic action. It gives a lot of great character development to Indie as he grapples with how his age has weakened his body, but comes to realise that in return his years have given him the wisdom to prioritise family over treasure like he struggled to do in the last crusade. Knowledge being the ultimate treasure of the film is very poetic, because in the nuclear age knowledge became the most seductive and destruction force in history. I don't get why everyone thinks it's preposterous that Indie meets aliens, but think it's plausible for an archeologist to find supernatural religious weapons of mass destruction. It's my third favourite after Raiders and Last Crusade.

I would have a great time at one of those. Wonder if there are any in the Mid West area?

I wished they had displayed this shark differently. They could have at least added a background with movie props. Or, colored the walls/ceiling like an ocean. Looks so bare hanging there.

That is great, walking past the trio, Curtin, Dobbs and Howard as they were probably embarking on their expedition, the on-foot part after a train journey. Very nice, Mr. Spielberg! (However, the exact year in which Treasure of the Sierra Madre was set is 1925, which is much earlier than this Indiana Jones movie is set -- Howard would have been pushing 100 although Curtin would have only been in 60s. Dobbs as we know did not make it.)

I love the shot of Red Car on trestle over Fletcher Drive in LA. As a kids we would always ask to stop at the Curries Mile High Ice Cream stand on San Fernando Road near Fletcher Drive. I remember that trestle very well. Later in early 70’s I lived on Waverly Drive nearby. I think Glendale is great but its downtown and walk ability was destroyed by the huge Glendale Galleria eating up part of Brand Blvd.
