Great video demonstration; logical progression too. My listening skills must need work as the gain matched audio at different ratios sound very similar on my Sennheiser HD25 headphones. Maybe relistening with stereo monitors would help. EDIT: tried headphones at lowest audible volume. Still not hearing much difference, although I understand the idea behind increasing the high pass frequency to allow the kick bypass the compressor.

I know it's usually recommended to "mix into" bus compressors when mixing a track, do you think that this warm audio bus compressor would be a large upgrade (in your opinion) compared to using a plugin version of a bus compressor?
