I have wanted a Tbird for a long time. I recently bought a 2005, 50th Anniversary. I have got a lot of compliments on it. I was advised by my dealer and Advisor not to buy one, but I did anyway. So far I am happy with it. Time will tell. I also have a 2015 Taurus. Why did you quit making them? I will keep this one until it falls to the ground. The only sedans available are foreign cars mad in this country. Ford really screwed up here

Well, considering this is now 2024 Ford has made no indication of bringing back the Ford Thunderbird and as of 2025 Ford is discontinuing Escape and Lincoln is discontinuing Corsair. There’s also been rumors that Lincoln is going to bring back Continental again Ford and Lincoln both dropped all their cars. I believe it was in 2021 and I do not see any sign from Ford or Lincoln that any of these are going to be revived.

I think a Thunderbird will be a great car to bring back. Yet, just because the 1955 Thunderbird was so popular is because of the times. Now there are many cars out there. Leave the 1955 design alone. Make the Thunderbird something that attracts people. Give it a look of style, power, and performance.

Let's get some fins on the back of the car again, drop in a little hotter engine. and give is a little flatter look to make it look like a wide body car. Something like the corvette did.

Just what is that hideous, black batmobird? Is that abomination real? If that is any slight indication of a revived T-Bird, Ford needs some new designers who are drug-free. The last revival of 2002-2005 was headed by a former VW designer. It really shows, too. Looks like an elongated beetle with a grille. It was hideous also. You even mentioned "cross-over". If that happens with the T-Bird name, Ford is done. Wasted R&D money.

I'm 71 and love my 485HP naturally aspirated V8 Hemi powered 2 door Dodge Challenger with adaptive cruise control, heated / ventilated seats, drive modes, 8 speed tranny, Harmon kardon18 speaker stereo that gets over 20 mpg doing 80 mph, at 65 mph it gets around 24 mpg.

Potential this, potential that. Looks the same to me. Sounds like a sales pitch to me.

Bigger back seat, better infotainment system, and better mpg are very much needed for this car. Make it bigger , add a touchscreen, add an 8 speed transmission and/or hybrid engine and I would buy it.
