how do I make actual breakcore? I have other tracks with a bigger focus on the breaks and chops themselves but others have said the same

@@madxtsukii the first thing you should do is listen to proper Breakcore artists, you should begin with oldschool names like Venetian Snares (if you want to learn breakcore START. WITH. HIM. begin listening to "my So-Called Life", "greg hates car culture", "the chocolate wheelchair album" and then, My personal favorite, "Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett". Hajnal is just a perfect mash of classical and breakcore.) , Ruby my Dear ( start with "ginkgo" ), dev/null, Reizoko CJ (start with the album "Dark side". Be warned tho, it's also lolicore.) , Goreshit (take the experimental albums first, most mainstream stuff is kinda far from breakcore, although it does have it, a great start is "tomboyish love for soda pop and apple sweets" (also lolicore) and SPECIALLY "semantics: the benzo Chronicles") etc. Learn how they chop samples, compose the breaks, the changes in tempo, pitch, complexity, basically learn what the root of breakcore is. Then try some contemporary names like Temma, aphextwinsucks, nyojikko, Rory in early 20's, bye2 (I just love her work), windowshopping, rainsdeaf, wawawa, hawawa( Please start with the "Banana fish EP", it was actually my first breakcore album :) ), lil kevo 303, sHimaU, DJ Kurara, pencil (their track "idole" is great), Andy pls, x.nte (their album "Aggressive Stereo Sound" IS PERFECT) and to finish it off, DJ Klaptrap and SIGMATUS (definitely listen to "salfrata" it's beautifully complex). Now how to actually make it? Fl studio, a TON of samples, an equal amount of time and well, honestly? Just search how to make proper breakcore here on YT, there are some great videos teaching how to make it. But you should learn about the story of breakcore too, there is a great video teaching this in here too. And to finish it off: Sewerslvt IS _NOT_ BREAKCORE. (Most of their work at least) Tell me what you think too, I'll be following your work :)

I've heard a bit of Venetian Snares and even more of Goreshit (I heard My Love Feels All Wrong back when I'd check out /mu/core charts 😆 Could I also ask, since you have a cool way of describing the music and seem to appreciate lots of electronic music. I like simple, more known and 'popular' artists like Machine Girl, DJ Kuroneko, Death Grips, even slightly older stuff like Massive Attack and of course Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, Radiohead's 'Kid A'. Do you know albums like Since I Left You by The Avalanches, Cosmogramma by Flying Lotus and I'll Try Living Like This by death's dynamic shroud? (weird vaporwave masterpiece.) I really respect the history and development of music genres and what makes them unique, but music like that might've broke my brain a little bit, where sometimes genres seem to just blend together and be pools of endless influence and inspiration oh yeah, and Infected Mushroom!

Ain't no way!, I love their "RPGウィンドウズ ビスタ" album, it was one of my first vaporware albums, I'm also a big fan o Windows 96 (specially because we live in the same country, you should also listen to their other alias, white gav'riel's album "Vista of Chaos" if you like dark synthwave or outrun, stuff similar to carpenter brut), HOME (just listen to Odyssey, you won't regret it) , Yu-utsu( their track SLOW is just... It's one of the only tracks I actually cry listening to, it's nostalgic for me. ) Anyway yeah, Im also a fan of Machinegirl(Big fan of WLFGRL) , dj kuroneko(their album kuroneko is perfect. No questions asked), really like the craziness of death grips and I'm a big fan of daft punk(c'mon, their debut album is majestic) , aphex twin(I love all of his albums, _a l l _ )and _specially_ Radiohead, I love their discography up to rainbows, my favorite album being hail to the thief and the Magnum opus that is ok computer(both the og and the 2017 version) Quick note, you have _TASTE_ . About "the avalanches" I never heard about it but damn, since I left you is beautiful! Wow COSMOGRAMMA. Damn. Wait, this album is beautiful, I can't believe never heard it before, what the f*? its beautiful! I'll be downloading it in FLAC for sure! And yeah, I also respect the history and development of music genres, every single one have a meaning, a beginning, a story to tell, that's why I've been a fan of _music_ since a kid. I couldn't agree more about genres, music is a perfect way of expressing yourself but it can feel too complex and difficult sometimes, but at least for me it's the reason why I can't stop listening and learning about it, the more we learn the more we understand that, in its core, we are just trying to express our own complexity, we break our minds because we are looking straight at ourselves in the end, that's the beauty of it. So don't stop, you have something really special In your hands, that's music.

srry for late reply. I really dig your tracks, tbh I'm just kinda shy and anxious and new to this stuff. I'm not against a collab, but would it work? For my tracks I use an MPC and iPad with the DAW Mixcraft, I know most ppl use FL or Ableton or Logic

@madxtsukii I understand, the truth is that I am from FL mobile, and I really don't know if the collab will work, but I say that we have to try it, to see if it is possible or not.

@@SirGeorgeofWorcestershire I really appreciate it, thank you! yeah, it was a couple years ago that especially in some low, depressed times I'd just go down the RUclips recommended songs rabbit hole for drift phonk, breakcore, anything, of course especially sewerslvt, that all eventually inspired me to join the underground scene. I alternated between the ones I saw with a lot of views and listening to some with barely any views, and yeah eventually it's the title and art that catch your eye 😆what surprised me is there didn't seem to be a big gap in quality and uniqueness between the popular and barely viewed songs, so tags, keywords, aesthetic choices and all that play such a major role. thanks again for giving love to the underground community in general, that's what I do it for 🙏

I also try not to have all the sound just squished and compressed and all equaled out like a brick wall like a lot of music does these days, although that's fun sometimes too.
