Mount Olympus, Greece. Mountain of the gods! ⚡️ 12:07:2024

Mount Olympus has been one of my favourite mountains since I can remember so having the opportunity to do it was something I grabbed with both hands! This was so fun to do and I met some amazing people doing it. The scramble up to the top of mytikas was sketchy as hell but well worth it! The throne of Zeus was equally as amazing. I was sponsored to do this climb so I would like to thank my spon...

Martindale horseshoe/ circular EXTENDED ROUTE! Lake District:hiking: it was a cold one! 01/03/2024

Decided to get out and about in the lakes and chose this beast! I added a couple more peaks on the walk before starting the actual Martindale horseshoe. The weather was a mixture of all sorts from a bit of sun, cold, rain, snow and low visibility. Exactly what I expected. Enjoy the video.

A nice venture up to the Lake District to take on Robinson via hindscarth and then follow on to moss falls, knott rigg and finish on ard crag. Really enjoyed this route and the conditions it threw at me! I have called this the Robinson route for obvious reasons but seen as it’s my surname I like it that bit more. Enjoy.

So we as a family decided we would go camping in the Lake District for Father’s Day and what better place to go then my most favourite place (great langdale). We stayed at the beautiful great langdale campsite which is situated right at the bottom of numerous mountains. Ideal for any mountain lover! After not being able to do the route I originally planned due to road closures I ended up doing this little beauty. This walk/hike is perfect for the kids and even has a few woodland creatures here to keep them entertained. The parking in whinlatter centre car park is ridiculous but the views at the top are beautiful.

Decided I would finally go and take on Crib Goch and the famous knifes edge while also going up Garnedd Ugain. The weather was perfect for it and to make it better it was Good Friday. Lesson learnt not to go like a bat out of hell up the steep accent but once at the top the views definitely paid off! Enjoy.

Finally I managed to get out and do this walk after the snow the other week stopped me from getting over. I started by going round to the bottom of drosgl first and then heading up from there. Good job I brought my wets gear as the heavens opened and decided to soak me! The walk was finished off with the beautiful Aber falls. I hope you enjoy the video.

Oi oi, about ruddy time are kid lol. Good to see you back! 🎉
Now then Jonny! And you’re telling me. Had all sorts of things going on lately so it’s been hard to get out.
@rbrratboyroaming4654, well, welcome back to the wilderness. 🎉
Did you follow any particular trail to this spot ?
I used the trail up till I got to the bend on the stream then I passed over the stream and headed to a flat point that I scoped out on google earth. Hope this helps buddy.
Neat spot! Looking forward to camping there with those views. Thanks for sharing this. Mari
😅😊🎉❤
Thank you 🙏🏻
Well done buddy. Good stuff :)
Thank you 🙏🏻
*Ashton Would Love this !*
Don't suppose you have a what 3 words for the start point 😂😂

Good man! It has to be done tho!🤘🏻 enjoy buddy.
What a spectacular hike my friend! Wow 👏👏
Thank you buddy! 🤘🏻
La vie................. walking espana
Cheers Jonny! Hope you’re good mate
@rbrratboyroaming4654 all good here, buddy! Living the Yorkshire life. 🥳
There isn’t anything better buddy! 🙌🏻
Good video, I'm lucky enough to live nearby and up there is great for wild camping being so quiet, I don't know the story behind why but the trig point on Foel Fras isn't on the summit, the true summit is a 2m high rock spike 70m SW of the trig point, most names around there are tricky to pronounce though e.g. Drum is pronounced Drim.
It’s strange isn’t it? And thank you for that buddy. No doubt I will still get confused haha. Thank you for watching.
nice route this one absolutely ruthless in the winds so good on your for cracking on through it ! New sub here All The Best - Luke
It was a beauty! I think it worked out at 15.5 mile in the end and thank you luke, I really apprappreciate it.
Landscapes are just stunning, unique and atmospheric presentation!
They are indeed! Thank you for watching.
What time did you set off, about 05:30? 🙂
I can’t remember to be honest buddy. Sorry.
Great video, looks closer to what I expect it to be like compared to other videos. Regarding the 3rd pinnacle I see a couple of people ascending it on the left side, avoiding that really exposed ' staircase' to the right. That's good to know there's another way up👍, not sure I fancy the right hand side of that 3rd pinnacle
Thank you for the comment buddy! I kept it as real as I could for people to see how it truly is before doing it. Thank you for watching.
Very beautiful hike. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind comment, I’m glad you liked it. Thank you for watching the video and make sure to subscribe for more. 👍🏻
Wow, that was an epic hike! We were up there about two weeks ago, but we just did Causey Pike, Scar Crags, Outerside and Barrow, so not quite as far as you. We have a beautiful still day, but I know exactly what you mean about that cold wind taking your breathe away! Anyway, great vid, you have a new subscriber! Thanks, Andy
Thank you buddy, It was a beauty! When I was planning it I didn’t take into consideration all the peaks haha 😂 that’s still a decent hike/walk/trek you’ve done tho so I tip my hat 🤘🏻the cold wind hits you different doesn’t it? And thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Safe travels & happy hiking! 🥾
Good hike spot on place 👌🏽
Thank you buddy and it’s a beauty! Can’t believe it took me this long to do it 😂
Amazing hike - that’s a big distance too (we’ll it is by my standards). I haven’t done the Crag Hill side but it’s on my list - a decent hike up to it and it’s quite remote and non touristy Great footage and awesome views
Thank you buddy! It was 10.88mile in the end and my legs definitely felt it but was worth it. It was fairly quiet to be honest but I would imagine in the summer it will be a lot busier. Much appreciated mate, safe travels 🤘🏻
Fantastic views on the top. Best wishes out there.
Thank you buddy! Same to you also 🤘🏻
What’s with the ski goggles 😂🤦🏻♂️
Helps massively with the wind and rain. It beats having to squint and walk with my head down when the elements are against you 👍🏻 take it you don’t use them?
The North West Ridge on Catstycam is one of the best (albeit) short ascents in Lakeland in all weathers, but in winter conditions it's a classic, only beaten by Halls Fell Ridge or Fleetwith Edge
It was fun and I’ll be sure to have a go at them when the snow comes 👌🏻
I was about a half hour behind you on that day, was nice to actually need an ice axe and crampons for a change (dog manages without) Not felt the need to use them for a few years. Cracking day and a cracking post
Thank you buddy! It was a beauty day, wasn’t it? I remember seeing the weather report for slightly crap weather but ended up being beauty
Thanks for the video. How long did it take you out of interest. I need to do those but will be adding Barf in as well. Oh, the hill behind you just before you started the climb up to Brown How is Graystones - horribly steep up the end.. I did it yesterday!
I’m not sure to be honest but maybe couple of hours and thank you for that buddy.
Nice video, some great shots! In Welsh the two mountains are pronounced: Elidir Fawr = El-lid-ear Vow-rr Carnedd y Filiast= Car-neth uuh Villy-ass-t
Thank you buddy. I’m trying to learn Welsh at the min but struggling 😂
@@rbrratboyroaming4654 yeah it's not easy mate! Keep at it haha, and keep enjoying the hikes
@pjrobertson3345 I’ve managed to say “good morning, how are you” which is alright but when they reply in Welsh I’m lost. The Welsh folk I’ve spoke to do say they appreciate that I tried tho haha and will do buddy! Thank you for watching.
I haven’t walked Crib Goch but it reminds me of Striding Edge and Swirral Edge on Helvellyn. Enjoyable on a nice sunny day and challenging on a windy day.!
You’re right there buddy but crib Goch is a hell of a lot harder then helvellyn. You start to consider your life choices 😂😂
@@rbrratboyroaming4654 I’m quite sure it is. I wasn’t making competitive comparisons but Helvellyn also has a number of ascents far more difficult than Snowdon.
I know you wasn’t buddy and yeah it does. Just coming up from the car park at Glenridding to the tarn is brutal haha
Yes was windy out then. Best wishes.
It was mate. Not as windy as I was expect but it sure picked up in bits 👍🏻

Good stuff. Just wondered - Do you use a wind sleeve to get rid of wind nosie when talking on the videos? Cheers and good luck for the future
Thank you. I use bits of foam over the microphones which seem to work wonders but I also have a foam case as well which I use when the weather gets really bad although when it’s raining these don’t work as effectively. Hope this helps buddy.
@@rbrratboyroaming4654 Cheers matey 👍
@movingourmind no problem
It's good that you show the extremes of the lakes weather, I've seen way to many people total unprepared, personally on days like that i sit at home and watch you put yourself through it on RUclips,
Thank you buddy! I like to keep my videos as real as possible so that people do get a true understanding of what it’s like out there and how fast it can change. I’m glad you watched the video. Thank you.

@jonnydavis362 haha 😂
I first did Crib Goch midsummer 1960 at the age of twenty three and have done it many times since, usually as part of the Snowdon Horseshoe. This is the only video I’ve seen that brings out the true character of the climb, the ridge and Garnedd Ugain so well. You’ve absolutely nailed it and made an old man very happy. Thank you!
Thank you Alan! I really appreciate the comment and kinds words. I try to keep the videos as real as possible so that people get a true understanding of what they are up against when they come to facing it. Again, thank you for your kind words and I wish you all the best! Don’t forget to hit the subscribe button if you haven’t already. Ellis.
My husband is treking the Limosha route right now!!! Watching your video helps me to see what he is seeing. Thanks for posting
I bet he is having an amazing time! The place and the people are awesome! I’m glad I could help you to see what he will be seeing and I wish him all the best on summit night and no problem, thank you for taking the time to watch my video.
I am climbing in September 2024 so busy training at the moment. In the Welsh Hills . Have to say ..I have watched loads of videos on RUclips...all very good But yours was fantastic Thank You Enjoy your next adventure ✨️
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really do appreciate it. I tried to keep it pretty straight forward in terms of what to expect on the route I chose. If I can give you any advice it would be to take diamox a couple of days prior to doing it as your body will get used to taking it and tip well! You soon realise how much the porters do for you and it really is admirable. Thank you for watching and best of luck!
I did the bad step in summer and thought i would need mountain rescue😮 fair play man doing it in the snow and ice without anybody else around. Looks absolutely stunning
Brilliant! If I’m honest I found it easier in the snow then in the blazing hot sun. Don’t know why haha 😂 and thank you, it was a really good day out 👌🏻 thank you for watching and if you haven’t subscribe for more. Cheers.

Happy Birthday! You've set the bar high for future birthdays now.
Thank you buddy! And don’t I know it. Not much will top this anytime soon tho.
Superb video. Can't wait for the winter now !
Thank you buddy!
Nice mate. Off here with my family 2moro. With the 18 month old in the carrier, hoping my legs hold up 😂
Very nice! And they should do, I felt fine carrying both kids but other half wanted to turn back haha 😂
Pro tip: always try to strip off layers before they get clammy and way before they get sweaty. You can stay warm without excessive layers through pure exertion but should you get injured and become imobile (God forbid) you'll cool down in a hurry and sweat drenched kit will just bring on hypothermia whilst you're waiting for assisstance. Best to pack it away nice and dry for later.
Thank you for that buddy.
What a great video buddy, having them moments with family is something to behold.
Thank you Jonny! Hopefully a lot more to come. 👌🏻
Looks awesome mate - can’t beat getting out with the fam. Your little girl did amazing as it’s not one of the easiest that one - even getting up to the tarn. Where you off to next?? New subscriber here too 💪💪

@@rbrratboyroaming4654 You’re very welcome. I love seeing kids out and about in the mountains, especially at that age as we all know they haven’t got the freedom that we did as kids!
