You can do a new 2ds xl with ips, or put the ips screen from a new 3ds on a new 2ds xl ?

I'm having a black screen issue with my 3DS after the Luma config v13.1.2 screen. After I save and exit, the screen goes black again. Removing and replacing the battery temporarily fixes it, but the problem returns. Also, I can't access recovery mode despite trying the right button combination. Any advice?

Your video literally says 'How to fix DPAD, ABXY buttons' and yet you don't show the application of the ABXY sticker, doing it off camera. Why on earth? However, now I know about antistatic mats, organizing screws, detaching and re-attaching of the ribbon cables - all the things I wasn't looking for. Good job. :P

Hello and thank you for the Video! I'm trying to unbrick a used modded 2ds with the same error but pressing those buttons wont boot up on the safe mode screen, just gives me the same error. This happens even when the SD card is out of the system. The same exact error you showed! And in some cases booting it with the button method to boot safe mode, it boots up but keeps showing a black screen and never gets to the safe mode menu. Any thoughts at all?

I have the exact same one in a clear case, not a scratch, dual IPS screens with protectors. I love it so much :D

is the alcohol safe to use on the bottom screen? I heard sometimes it reacts badly with it.

I’ve got a similar issue. The system will not boot with a SD card inserted, but it will boot just fine without the card inserted. Luma can’t see the card if I insert it after boot, and neither can the system. I formatted the SD card and put the necessary files back. No joy. I changed the SD card reader. That didn’t work either. Could it be something else on the board maybe? I did notice some corrosion that I scrubbed off, I’m just hoping it didn’t get too deep… Any ideas?

Hey, i picked a n3ds xl at a retro gaming market and seller said only issue with it is the power button being difficult, would take a lot of effort to turn the the device on or off. Other than that its in great condition. Wondering if there's any recommendations on how i could repair it. Any advice would be great

I got my 2ds xl modded but lost the as card what can I do?

I am normally terrible with these things, but the scotch tape trick helped me get a quick, clean, and centered application on my PS Vita . 🎉 Cheers Edit: just did it on my 3ds and it came out perfect to. These simple tricks made such a huge difference. Both plastic and glass looks great. Keeping the plastic one in place after all the alcohol was a bit of a challenge, it wanted to slide around. There is a such thing as too much rubbing alcohol though so take care fellow console protectors. All that's left is my DSi XL and all of my portables will be protected from mayhem, especially with their slick aluminum snap shells.

I'm having issues with this exact thing but I accidentally removed the hax and now I can't do anything it turns on but stays black but the blue light stays on

If your 3d isn't working (as in, it's stuck and the slider doesn't work) then disassemble again and make sure that the cables are ALL the way in. I had it that it was one nanometer off on one side which was apparently enough to cause faulty behavior.

So I have a modded New 3DS, I replaced the touch screen because it was broken but it won't even boot up now. It was just flashing a blue light at first with black screens for a bit then turning off, now it flashes for a second or two then goes off. I have tried everything online and am stuck on what to do. I don't want to loose everything on my console but I have no idea what to do now.

If you can make my TN 3ds Dual IPS then ill definitely look into it
