This video is a compilation video of all the little clips and pictures I took during the rebuild phase of the project. I couldn't edit out the Teardown subtitles, but if you want to see that section in normal speed, you can watch that here: ruclips.net/video/xkhls9rDHtY/видео.html Thanks for watching!

The first video in a new series of videos I'll be uploading on my newly purchased 1981 Yamaha XJ750 SECA motorcycle. The bike has 31,000 miles on it and is currently running and rideable, but I want to go through the whole bike before the next riding season to get it to where I need it to be.

A gear review / discussion type video where I demonstrate the scout loadout kit I've built around the 10c's and get into the Pros and Cons of the East German Assault pack. This pack was purchased from Varusteleka.com for 6.99!
Medium backpack loadout - Telemark / Bergen rucksack
Просмотров 9544 года назад
Just going over the contents of my Medium backpack loadout. This was used in my most recent trip to Coburg Ridge. It is a 2-3 day loadout depending on amount of food carried. I purchased this pack and many other items in my kit from Varusteleka, an online Finnish surplus retailer - they are awesome and you should check them out!
Overnighter at Coburg Ridge

Spending the night near Coburg Ridge on BLM property. Living in the valley my whole life, it has been a dream of mine to summit Coburg Ridge. For this trip I took my medium backpack loadout, which I will detail in a future video. Bonus: at 18:38 you can see how to properly fold one of these polish poncho tents, if you have one. Thanks for watching!
How to make an old, dirty pair of shoes look brand new!
Просмотров 1574 года назад
This is how I clean my shoes. You'll need the following supplies: Blue scotchbrite / dish scrubber Vegetable brush or other soft-bristled brush Laundry soap (I use a ZOTE bar) Baking Soda Dish soap (optional). After the shoes have dried completely you can use some Shoe Goo to repair cracks and other issues as I did with these. Track: Sro - Bring Back

Thanks Andres! Hey where I can find the learn path updated to study to CCA-v, is there any place I can find to download? Thanks again
@fabiovblima it's all on Pluralsight now. Search for Citrix and you can find the learning path and instructions to build a lab. The course has changed significantly so I have not bothered to upload the remaining parts.
This it a great little pack.....but! Remember it's LITTLE! it's meant for 24 hours of running like hell! It hold ONLY the absolute bare minimum of kit it was designed to do only that! but done right you can live for 1 to 2 days out of this pack but you aint going to be any kind of comfortable doing so! I highly advise sewing a DDR mag pouch to the back of it for a bit more storage space, replace the straps with LC1 or LC2 pack straps and sew canteen pouches to the sides! Whatever you load in it is up to you!
Brings back great memories... I had that bike in my Senior year in high school... 1982. What a wicked fast bike for a 17-year-old kid back in the day. Why did you put those rubber boots on the forks... not original? Nice job with the restore!
Saaaay Kaaaaa...not See Caaaa
Man I like those surplus gaiters! Where was this? I looked it up but didn’t find it.
Thanks, you can find those gaiters here: www.varusteleka.com/en/product/italian-gaiters-canvas-short-surplus/58555 Mohawk Recreation Area can be accessed via McGowan Creek Road, which is out of Mohawk Oregon. I have spent a lot of time up there scouting around and checking out the camp spots. This website provides a good general description of the area: www.softroadingthewest.com/oregon-mohawk Being so close to town, it is quite a popular area for locals.
You did such an amazing job restoring yours. Would you restore another one?
Yes I would, assuming the engine ran decent.
@@andresherrera2146 where are you located?
PM me on messenger KV Tran
i have this pack too, it's wonderful. I'm thinking about replacing the frame for a molle frame. Not sure if it would fit with the leather insert at the top and stuff. would be interesting tho. thanks for sharing man
I have many memories with the Norwegian Armed Forces' Backpack M53. Had it as a contingency bag when I was in the military at the end of the Cold War. what you are missing are the long straps that made the sleeping bag mounted on top and had a "quick release / mounting" and access to the large room. Also see you have the Norwegian cantine / cook set.
Besides you can attach a second same to first one, using a metal half-rings
This is true, although you would need to be pretty strong as I imagine with that much weight so low on the back, it would be quite uncomfortable to carry.
@@andresherrera2146 being a pretty strong is a cornerstone of a soviet army. Soviet soldier must withstand all the heaviness and loses of army service. (So is written in a USTAV -codex). I am sure - NVA had some sort of instructions for that cause for weight destribution, and that option was for some emergency cause. Motorised infantry didnt meant to carry all the stuff on their backs
The time-lapse sequences and soundtrack are quite satisfying! Soooooo muuuch woooork.
If you're going to own an 80s sport bike you gotta go full 80s montage 🤣
I'm so happy for you! The bike has never looked better! It's going to be awesome to see this on the road again!!! Great job!
What does it look like now that you've got it back from powder coating ..??? Did you rebuild the engine ..??
The bike is finished. I'll upload a video of the rebuild soon. Didn't touch the engine internals except for valve shims.
Here's a short video of it back together ruclips.net/user/shortsifgDtAioQGM?feature=share
@@andresherrera2146 thats slick ..👍😉👍
What good will just sells mess kits? You struck gold man.
I am about to get a seca 750, waiting for your new video of how it looks like
Thank you. That was a good video / review.
Glad it helped you. Thanks for the comment 👍
Thats awesome she looks good!
I have a Sonola Rivoli accordion and the F# button sticks. I removed the cover and pushed the button out. But it will get stuck again when pushed. I don't have a clue how to fix this without damaging the instrument. I appreciate your video because it helps me to see the complicated mechanism of this accordion.
When this happened to me what was going on was the top of the button rod near the button was a bit bent. Take some needle nose pliers and try to get it straight as possible when looking at it from a side angle. You can also clean the hole with a little bit of alcohol and a cutip
Thanks for the vid. I have the synthetic version so I'm a little envious. I have way too many rucksacks, ALICE Large and Medium, PLCE Bergen, Karrimor Condor, German Army Mountain Rucksack etc etc, however this rucksack is by far the most comfortable. I'm 6' 4" 200lbs and I'm amazed how well it fits, really no need at all for a waistbelt, although and ALICE one would fit easily. Great rucksack for day out or overnighter. Cheers Ian
No problem! Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I started out down that road myself. It's easy to fall into that trap when the surplus is cheap :D I enjoy this rucksack quite a bit, it's a good balance between a small day pack and a bigger external frame, and I agree about it being comfortable - up to a point. I wouldn't load it with more than 40 lbs though I know it is capable of much more than that. Cheers
Beautiful bike. I have the same one in the same color and year. My first bike bought in 1995, second owner. Currently needs a full carb rebuild. I can tell you that is not stock exhaust, otherwise looks pretty original. Hope it's going well.
Beautiful bike! Sound?
Once I get the engine torn down and put back in will post a followup video for sure. Right now the bike is down to the frame.
@@andresherrera2146 oh ! Ok thans for the bike sound !
Nice bike!!!
Thank you very much you saved an accordion from going into the dumster
It is helpful to know that the oil drains out in an arc. Easy to make a mess if you aren't expecting that. Thanks for mentioning it.
Sadly the Suburban sold last summer as my friend could no longer store it here....but on the upside the new owner doesn't have to futz with the wiring!
THANK YOU. This is the only tutorial that I’ve been able to use. I fixed mine now! I appreciate it
Wow, sorry to reply so late but I'm glad this helped you!
These videos would be extremely helpful if they weren't filmed using a potato :(
