This hit me hard. One of my best friends is leaving on their mission this month. I'm so proud of her, but it will be hard not having her around.

I remember this song from when I was a teenager 💜 Now my baby brother leaves on his mission tomorrow and this song came to mind. I’m not a member of the church anymore but wow is this a powerful song. I wish him nothing but the best as he serves the people of NYC. Two years without him will be super hard, but I hope he has a good experience and comes back having learned a lot about himself and about the world. Beautiful song!

Remember the first time I heard this masterpiece I was in a car with other elders in my district driving back from a long day of work and one of the elders played this and everyone kinda just sat there missing home but it was such a great moment to share with them and just remember that we were absolutely doing the best thing we could ever be doing.

nothing is harder for a parent than having to let their child out of their embrace but listening to this song reminds us that maybe letting them go will allow them to return as stronger members with an unwavering love for the lord.

I have really come to admire LDS and how y'all leave on missions, because that's one thing you guys really go after: The Great Commission. But hey, you already know who waited 7 years for his girl in the bible. So don't give up, in fact he's back by now because this video is much older than 2 years!

I'm going to be totally honest, I heard this song about 2 years ago and I liked it and all, but didn't really like the second verse because it didn't relate to me. Now, I'm an 18 year old girl and my best friend is leaving in less than two weeks, and I have never related to a song more. 😭😭 Thank you for sharing, even if the full effect came several years later.

I couldn't help but cry as I listened to this song! My 17-year-old leaves in a year. I have terminal cancer, and the two years he's gone will probably be during the time that I pass away. Two years for him will be the rest of my life for me.

My boyfriend left on a mission 5 months ago. Now I'm going on a mission in two weeks. I pretty much listen to this song every day. Showed it to my family for FHE. Sobbed through the whole thing. <3

Carli will be home from her mission at the end of November and I believe she will have it available shortly after that! She is so thrilled that the song has touched so many people.

I literally- only ten minutes ago- just said goodbye to my older brother as he leaves to go serve in the Belgium/Netherlands Mission. I came to listen to this song to find comfort and I have. Such a good reminder that two years- 'it's only a small thing, when you look at eternity'. Families can be together forever.
