This approach is so important to spread. Switching your whole life in every aspect all at once is definitely a rushed decision, especially considering how important family and culture are in Islam. I really appreciate the effort put into making this video. There's definitely overlap between religion and culture in a lot of people's minds.

he primary objective of Islam, as conveyed in the Quran, is to promote goodness and prevent oppression. While prescribed actions are obligatory, they are not the ultimate goal; rather, they are a means to cultivate gratitude toward the Creator. True gratitude is demonstrated through actions, not just words-specifically, by spreading goodness and refraining from injustice. What you wear, your name, color or culture do not matter what matters to Allah is what is in your heart- "Only those who come before Allah with a pure heart ˹will be saved˺.” Ash-Shu'ara 88-89

This is why the most accurate and reliable way to study the Prophet’s Sirah is through the Quran. If you don't know Arabic, use a trusted translation. Approach it with an open mind, free from the influence of fabricated stories and cultural biases, often inherited by those born into the faith. If you encounter any hadith that contradicts the principles of universal humanity or the teachings of the Quran, it’s best to set it aside.

I think vids like these are good because some people think you need to become an arab if you are muslim. You can keep the parts of your culture that arent against the religion. I Know anti islam are mad seeing ethnic British Muslims.

I too get confused as a born Muslimah as to why westerners dress like Arabs and change their names. If it's something they enjoy, sure, but but no means it relates to being a Muslim. Though, in my honest opinion, embracing Islam within your own culture goes to show your society that Islam works just as well with their culture as it does with all others. I know we are all just trying to please Allah, and he sees you and loves you! no matter your dress code or skin color or eye shape...etc

I am a 23-year-old Muslim who grew up in a predominantly Muslim culture in Turkey. However, I cannot say that I was a deeply devout believer during my early years. Identifying as Muslim felt more like a cultural norm. Around the age of 15, I became curious and enthusiastic about Islam, which led me to study the religion more deeply. To be honest, I approached it with a sense of urgency, as if I were racing to catch up with my worship practices. Initially, I struggled to navigate my interactions with others, especially with my new sense of religious identity. I was overly concerned with how people perceived my actions. For example, when I refused to shake hands with women, I felt immense pressure and discomfort. However, as I have grown older, especially now at 23, I’ve learned to express my religious beliefs more comfortably. I no longer rush into decisions or feel the same internal pressure. Instead, I seek to explain my beliefs in a more gentle manner and integrate them into my life more easily. Now, I’ve realized that much of the pressure I felt came from within rather than from others. I believe that striving to find balance in life is what Allah wants from us. While I acknowledge that this is a lifelong journey, I am committed to continuously working towards that balance with patience and faith. By the way, I just got engaged and I'm getting married soon! Please keep us in your prayer hoping for a beautiful and peaceful family life together. Praying that we can have a healthy partnership both physically and mentally, and that we can build a strong and happy future. Your good wishes mean a lot to us! Salam Aleikum :)

The problem is when you read all the books, including the 5 usually kept in the back of the mosque, the ones they use to radicalise the youth, is a stinking seething mash of violence and disgustingness… many are now being exposed on RUclips. Read all 6 books and try to not be disgusted, honour killings with a reward of 92 virgins … I mean people believe this and there are no Christian morals and values… it breeds terrorists for a reason, it is not a religion of peace when you read it word for word in English. What man wouldn’t like the option of using more than one wife and then have power over them with Sharia law in your favour. Wife beatings and all. Please. And what about if you change your mind and discover I’m right… well off with your head. You can try and be moderate but this is practiced in Islamic states and you think it won’t come here in this manner, how naive! Will they stop killing gays? It’s the first thing they did in Iran.
