Fixing My Hazmat Placards Bolts On A 53 Foot Dry Van Trailer.
When I picked up my trailer the placards that were installed were turned wrong. The dealership turned them and filled in the holes. However when they reinstalled them they use nuts and bolts instead of riveting them. I temporarily switch the hardware to carriage bolts just to make it a smoother surface inside the trailer. Since the bolts stuck out I was afraid they might refuse a load or could scratch or damage the product. I haven’t ran into any of the scenarios yet just wanted to be proactive and be prepared.

This is the second week of our MC reactivation and running off the load boards. We got a load out of Palmetto GA hoing to Bridgton ME. It’s a multiple drop load out of a Yamaha warehouse. All drops are in the northeast WV,NY,NJ,MA, and final destination Maine. We got mostly jet ski’s and one atv or a side by side. This is my second time as a owner operator. The first time I did it for a year and a half. After that I worked with R&L carriers for seven months. Now that I reactivated my MC DOT I bought a 2019 Volvo VNL760 and a 2024 Vanguard Dry van trailer. We got the logo and decals put on the truck. I put a 4700 watt generator under my trailer and got 50ft extension cord and it works like magic!

I hv a extended fuel tank so I can run it for 10hr reset just fine or more if needed

Now you can get good portable battery for 1000 that would silently run same set up. And charge it from inverter when driving

No issues just had to adjust the space in the box with that ventilation fan so the sensor would kick off the generator from CO2 detection

Back in my OTR days we had a prepass that did both, though it only covered certain toll roads, but that was due to how the company I was driving had it set up.
