You will follow me all my life
You have too much bounce on your anvil coz the base is too flimsy. Try and find an old tree stump or 1m section of tree trunk that you can set your anvil into. You will have more fun and less frustration. Ask a local tree lopping/yard maintenance business. I bet they could help you out sourcing a good chunk of wood for an anvil base.
I agree, I did have one in my old location, but my car would be split in half if I put it in the tronc, but it's in my bucket list for sure.
