Reviewing the 700 outlander. I have raced the outlander multiple times now and have some good feedback on what I think of it. First isn’t not a 1000 powerhouse but has a lot of positives and has beaten many 850s and 1000s. G3 vs G2 / G2s comparison

Picking up my new 2021 CAN AN Renegade 1000 xxc for testing and racing the GNCC and XC racing. I race the GNCC series in the 4x4 pro class on a CAN-AM Renegade and have been racing and working on CAN-AM ATV since 2010. Ride along with me to pick up my new ATV and Unbox it.
The new 700 sure looks a lot cheeply made with a way stiffer suspension, not impressed.
@@rogersavoie4570 I think the exact opposite, way nicer put together, better built and way better handling.
To each it's own bud.
Can you re-valve FOX 1.5 PODIUM QS3 shocks on the XT-P or are they as bad as on the G2 and should be replaced with Reiger or Fox Podium 1.5 RC2 etc. ?
Which one rides better?
@@kellygotell1179 700 rides better and handles better.
I was afraid of that answer, I just bought the 850 max xt 2024 lol
@@kellygotell1179 still a great machine and will love it
@@smittybert2450 thank you, I’m on it now and I do love it. I wanted the 700 but didn’t like the one piece seat on the max model. You made me feel better lol thanks
@smiittybert do have a part number for the transmission fill plug>

@@smittybert2450 ty for the reply and u said u added a 2nd rear disc how did u go abount installing it?
@@IfallRocks I used BNR motorsports kit for the 20-25 renegades. But could probably use oem outlander 2025 1000r stuff now.
Congrats on the podium, starting out in last place and moving up to second is amazing.
Qual pinça de freio utilizada na traseira?
Does your shocks come from an 850?
@@ericlessard5021 they where custom made by BNR Motorsports. Fox shock then changed lengths and did dual rate springs.
Are you doind enduro racing? I recommend renforcing your front upper a arm (the smaller tube that goes to the rear bushing close to the shock mount). Mine is a x mr but i broke the 2 a-arm on 2 different ride because i was going too fast in the woops... i don t know if it has something to do that i m alway in 4wd when i ride...
@@ericlessard5021 I will need to look into this. I do race enduro / xc type of racings haven’t had an issue yet but will look into it
I am waiting for a hd7 backrest accessory. The v twin exhaust is close to one spark plug wire
Excellent video here. Im so glad to see actual user talking about the G3 chassis here. My mind is made to wait for the rest of the 25' lineup. I think this is a great chassis and machine. Im so glad they focused on ease of maintenance. 3 qts of engine oil is formidable too- should extend the average guys oil change interval
I believe that they really made many great changes and really an improvement on many things
Who tuned the ECM? They're supposed to be locked and nobody has heard of any being tuned? Who's your tuner and how did they unlock it? Or did you just put a blinky box on it?
@@dylanwalston2999 I tuned the ecu myself, but this is not the pro or xmr version so has the M3C ecu not MG1 (my atv has the cable throttle)
@@smittybert2450 so is the xmr ecu unable to be tuned? You’re the first I’ve seen who says their ecu is tuned on this platform. What software did you use to unlock and tune?
@@dylanwalston2999currently the XMR is locked has the mg1 ecu and not tunable yet that I know of.
Hey where can i get one of those tips?
BNR Motorsports renegade tip that I drilled the holes to 8mm
is that tip somthin u made? and who tunedthe eco
@@dalemann5652 yes, got one for a renegade and drill holes out to 8mm
If you plan on racing the 700, you should gusset the rear arm shock mount. This is the only weak point i found on these, and they re not fun to bring back once they are bent.
@@ericlessard5021 you have pictures of the issues?
the biggest fact ....the old has the 850ccm vtwin !!!!!! the other has a 650ccm single (but is called 700? ) theres nothing more to say !!!
Correct, but if you are looking at outlanders and think was is the difference between the 850 and 700 only 150ccs right? Very wrong power wise you can’t beat the 850 and 1000s but overall the 700 to me has more benefits for the guy looking for a “utility” atv and would beat 90 percent of utility atvs sold.
The HD7 is a far better all around ATV.
@@stonehorn4641 for the majority of people I believe the 700 is a better fitting atv.
@@smittybert2450 i own a hd5, and i like it. i am also impressed by what they have done to the foot wells (or how they are called), the frame tubing is reinforcing them so much better, as on the old g2's, foot wells dont have any bracyng, and they get broken so easy. i know that it is not powerfull etc, but it gets the work done if u dont want to be a mud racing champ. also the gear shifting and suspension seems to work much better. Plus, the automotive bushings, dont require you to grease them.
Use more exclamation points so people take your comment extra seriously.
Super cool dozer. I want one.
What a great little machine where are they made
Made in the USA California
Old cat skinner trick ; dig out backside and push dirt onto opposite high side building a ramp six feet higher giving you more leverage to push from ,pack it down before you try pushing .Back cut as deep as machine is tall ramp the same.,..
Nice machine. The first I have seen.
Really impressive little guy, has so much more pushing power than a skid steer.
That’s a neat machine! Mind me asking what something like that goes for price wise? I could think of a million ways to put one of these to use.
It depends as they are few made. Last time I quoted a new one was 90-100k. We paid a little over 30k for ours a couple years ago and feel like we got a good deal on it. They have a 80hp+ 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine and weight about 10k lbs. Ours is a sweco 480 trail dozer 2003 I believe with about 200hrs (was owned by a California state park)
That’s one badass atv right there! Mine is a 2016 renegade 1000 xxc but I have a 2020/2021 seat on it in black and red.
My first 1000 was a 2016. Great machines!
@@smittybert2450 yep! 👍😎🤛
Congrats!
Thanks hopefully getting some seat time on it soon
