Had a friend that owned this bike way back in the day and he'd let me ride it all I wanted. It was a beast to kick start with ankle braking kick back. If you got it growling with energy left to ride , it had run out from under you power. Riding on an unfinished dirt highway by pass I'd wonder how those MX racers handled that much power around Carlsbad.

Wow have you had a chance to have a fun ride. I have a 1974 sc 500 all fresh rebuild total fun bike not to many of these around and getting hard to get parts Have a blast
