How To Choose The Weight For Your Exercises
The weight you use should be relative to the size of the muscle you're intending to work and how soon you start feeling the burn.
Bigger muscles like your quads typically can use a lot more weight compared to smaller muscles like your biceps. But, you also have to be intuitive with how you're feeling.
A rule of thumb I use for my beginner clients is with the weight you're using, you should feel the burn starting 1-3 reps in. If you feel the burn around rep 4 onwards, either your form is off or the weight you're using is too light for you.
On the flip side, if you aren't feeling the burn, it could also be that the weight is just too heavy for you and you aren't getting quality contraction....

I’ve seen different ways of doing this. So you think not to nose breath, exhale and then suck? I have tried inhale, exhale and while exhaling sucking which is difficult,, I have also tried the exhale and then suck. You don’t seem to be doing any of the breathing just sucking? I want to do this right.
I exhale while I pull my stomach in! Then I hold my breath until I can’t and then I’ll breathe very shallowly. You can breathe in while pulling your stomach in,?85 doesn’t matter. which ever way helps you get a good vacuum is good!

You wouldn’t look pregnant by doing stomach vacuums. You can ‘look’ pregnant (from fat gain) by not exercising and eating too many calories, yes absolutely.

@@doubleglaze7979 well, I don’t know the guy. He is likely just overweight from eating too much. Stomach vacuum’s don’t give you a belly that’s not how it works. Eating too much does!
