The Fall Of the M.S. Estonia Game Dec 2024 Part 1

The MS Estonia sank on the stormy night of September 28, 1994, in the Baltic Sea, becoming one of the worst maritime disasters in peacetime. The ferry was traveling from Tallinn, Estonia, to Stockholm, Sweden, when rough seas and high winds caused its bow visor, a massive hinged section at the front of the ship, to fail. As the waves battered the vessel, the visor, which was supposed to seal th...

Steam Whistles Titanic Give Voice To Tragedy
Просмотров 82 тыс.2 года назад
Titanic Steam Whistles Blow For The First time Since 1912!! With the Olympic-class liners’ construction, the steam whistles were quite naturally taken to sea while on a voyage. Weighing-in close to 750lbs each, and constructed of heavy-duty hard-wearing bronze, they stood a little over 4ft. tall and were powered by steam. Three individual chambers, with diameters of 9″, 12″ and 15″ combined to ...

man someone just make a exact %100 replica of this whistle with the same material and run it on steam like they did with Normandies original whistle
When everyone started clapping and cheering, that was the first time she's heard people cheer her on in a century. Last time she heard it was when she left.
The ships cry for help 🥺
crys
i was there that day, and let me tell you when i heard her voice i cried there and then, it was powerfull hearing her voice, i cried for days after that like i do now watching it back. it broke my heart so much, so beautiful to hear titanics voice
Oceanliner Designs, another website states that only the first two stacks had operating whistles. #3 & #4 stacks had replica whistles.
So eerie and ghostly, that is literally the sound of a ghost ship, amazing. 🫶
VICTOR GARBER!!!
They gave titanic her voice back 😭😭😊
They should've done the exhibition in New York City, where it would've felt more emotional and believeable since it was the Titanic's destination before she unfortunately sank. I don't mean to complain about the experience, but I wish it were in NYC where it could've finally been said, "The Titanic has finally arrived at her destination." I feel truly honored to hear her voice again, even though it sounds like her cry of distress from that dreaded night.
Kahlenberg also has horns used in the NHL and AHL
It was an experience ill never forget
Damn I wish we could hear that with steam 🥲
So haunting. 😖… you can hear the strength of this ship
Sadly that's not what the Titanict whistles sound like, the Titanic's whistle are steam whistles, not air...
Wonder if they'll rebuild these whistles. Give Titanic her voice back with new technology, but same materials ❤ this brought me to tears being a history nut. So beautiful!
Beautiful
Pitty they weren’t back in Belfast were they were made
Titanic may you R.I.P 🚢 sail fly and high over the night sky 🕊🚢🕊
I remember watching this full documentary, but I can't remember the name of it. Can anyone help?
Anyone else notice he's the creator of the titanic in the film ? He's the man that stops his clock and goes down with his ship !!!
Yes Victor Garber, he played Thomas Andrews. Its really beautiful that they used him as the narrator here.
Titanic was made in my city. This is so sad, these whistles should've been singing as it sailed into New York 😔❤️🩹
I do whish the whistles were donated to the titanic centre here in belfast. The harlen and wolf drydocks deserve to hear that sound echo throughout one last time
I so agree, was thinking about that the last time I visited.
That revived voice made me cry
They should rebuild titanics funnel the one that this funnel was on it
Wow. Unreal feat. This is incredible.
it's like the Titanic speaking
Victor Garber?
Thank you ❤for this video and information about Titanic and her whistle, I know it's massive and proud moment, while listening to that sounds I feel both mixed feelings of pain and joy, while writing over here my eyes are wet with no reason ❤🙏❤️
We’re these whistles originally operated with steam?
Yes
even in 2024 is still amazing to hear i, it gives me goosebumps
The real sound is much different using full pressure steam. Here is a video of the Olympic's identical whistles. ruclips.net/video/Nbi9XHvPKnY/видео.htmlsi=QUGsxHEC3sJWASSg
They should've done this exhibit in New York, so in a way, Titanic will have reached New York eventually 🥺
9:42. Titanic(“This is for my other White Star Line sisters!”)
Is that Mr Andrews?
The last time it was sounded before this was on that fateful noon of 1912.
Imagine that the voice of the greatest liner ever built. She speaks again ❤
I feel fortunate to have been there on that day. Was quite a sound.
This should have been done in Belfast or Southampton...not some random location in the US
I don’t suppose anyone here noticed that the host of this documentary is Mr. Andrews
I wonder why they didn’t Chet the barnacles out from inside of the whistles, to where they might have sounded better?
wait i thought he drowned?
For this Titanic fan, that was spine-tingling!
Titanic's boilers produced 215psi of pressure, im not sure what the regulated pressures were to blow the whistles but wondering if anyone knows what pressure they used in this case?, being they are fragile id expect far less than 215psi.
Was wondering this too. It would change the sound. But I'm assuming they already took this into account.
I can hear her Crying. I can literally hear her crying 😮😢 💔
It's bittersweet knowing so many tragically lost their lives but sweet because this is a part of history we were able to save and preserve and to honor those lost
