Yeah, in my first game i also loop forward and i need to re do all again. It hurts. A recomendation, simple cut all unneceseary moments and show only when the story progress and/or you find new dialogue. In that way you don't need to talk and made entertaining moments when nothing happens.
Thanks, while I do appreciate the advice, I feel like this would be applicable to literally any of my other LP's. It is true that I very sparsely cut any of my videos, the deliberate uncut nature of this LP is intentional as the a lot of the experience the game wants you to feel is about being stuck in a time loop, doing the same thing ad nauseum until you have no mental energy left to engage with the game like how Siffrin can't be bothered to legitimately engage with the world and people around him. I like to leave the artistic integrity of the games intact in my LP's when I play them, like in my OneShot LP for example, I learned OBS on the fly to show the meta fourth-wall breaking aspects of that game so the viewer's were not left out. If I cut out all the uninteresting parts of this LP, the series would only be half as long and the satisfaction of making any brief moment of progress would be very much dulled for the viewers. On a separate note about cutting videos, not related to the game, I just don't like to do it. I have mentioned why in some of my really early videos but I suppose it has been a while since I reiterated for the more recent viewers. If I cut out sections of the videos I make and only leave in what I deem "entertaining," it would get me in the wrong mindset to actually enjoy making LP's. Instead of sitting back and playing a game to have fun, I would feel a lot of pressure to make the commentary entertaining to listen to so I have less video I need to cut out because it was "unengaging". If I got in that mindset, I would inevitably put on some kind of persona and I would probably go so far as to only play games I know so I can create outlines for topics within the video. I know I worry about being entertaining in a video with commentary, but that's only because it's awkward to sit in front of a hot mic with nothing new to say, which is why I typically end videos or recording sessions early when that happens, fully knowing that viewers can skip the boring parts of the video relatively easily if they so desire. I only really cut out technical issues I have in videos, instances where I accidentally expose too much personal information that I don't want on the internet, and anything that actively harms the video. (Like the one time I got a bit too... inebriated during the Outer Wilds LP.) While it may sound harsh to write this down, at the end of the day, this channel exists for me to enjoy making videos on it, not for the viewers to get the exact type of content they want out of me; That is the one thing I will never compromise on regarding the motivations behind this channel. Please don't misinterpret my response, I'm not mad at you for suggesting cutting my videos, it's a legitimate suggestion to improve the pacing of my LP's for viewers, I just don't care about the algorithm whatsoever, if I wanted to game the algorithm, I would have surpassed triple digit subscribers long ago. It's not like I'm completely opposed to the idea of more short-form videos with more constant entertainment - after I finish my Outer Wilds LP I want to make a scare compilation of me getting way too terrified over basically nothing 90% of the time, but that's going to be a separate bonus video from the actual LP. I have also previously worked on making scripted videos (that I scrapped) but I have never finished them because it is really hard and time-consuming to make a script, read it well, and then finally edit it in a way I'm satisfied with. Some of the ideas I toyed with for scripted videos are "My Experience with Aphantasia" and "A Beginner's Guide to Playing Stepmania from an Intermediate Player". I also want to remake a video I made for a high school project, which is a video tutorial on "How to Play Tetris," but I have nothing to contribute there that everybody else hasn't already said. I actually wrote and completed the script for the first one and recorded the audio for all of it but I scrapped it because I had 45 minutes of audio recording and no interesting video footage to put in the video without the whole entire video feeling lazy despite the effort I put into it. (Due to my lack of editing skills outside simple cuts and text graphics.) I really want to make those videos but I haven't found the time and motivation to actually try to finish them in a way I'm satisfied with or develop them beyond the blueprint phase. While it is true I don't compromise my enjoyment to make the content my viewers want, I am motivated to make more videos and better videos if the viewers are interested in what I'm doing. Basically, I'm open to game suggestions and video ideas that viewers suggest but I am very particular about the formatting because the formatting directly determines how much fun I have recording, editing, and generally making a video. I am so sorry for the long response! I hope I didn't scare you away, I just wanted to provide a legitimate answer with reasoning besides just saying "no". I've gotten a few comments from newer viewers asking why I don't cut my videos and you just gave me a really nice opportunity to provide an explanation. Anyway, I'm sorry for not wanting to cut the videos, I hope you can find enjoyment in them nonetheless. And thank you for leaving a comment and giving a suggestion, I do appreciate the advice even if I'm not inclined to take it all the time. And please, please don't ask how long it took me to fully formulate this comment and revise it to convey my point to a random stranger on the internet I don't know anything about besides they watched at least two videos of mine.
Nice, Isa's moment was adorable! Keepgoin buddy.
Yup, I only have three more recording sessions to edit and upload before I'm done with this LP! I just hope I can finish editing this LP recorded in June before the end of the year...
*reads description* uh oh XD
The Quantum Moon still eludes me even now, I must reach it!
Im liking this playthrough. The ingame audio is a bit quiet. I like how you where so interested in the museum exhibits but missed two Lmao doesnt really matter though. Cheeky cliffhanger. Good thing im late to this party. 😁
Wait, I missed two museum exhibits? Shoot, I never went back to the museum in everything I recorded so far, guess I have another thing to do. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the playthrough and don't watch it all at once, long time viewers will know that my upload schedule is horrendous, especially now after I just moved.
Not sure if there's anything you can do about this for the future episodes depending on how you record your commentary but it definitely sounds like your commentary is _slightly_ ahead of the gameplay.
Yeah, I noticed that when I was editing but the usual audio sync I did was in time before the episode, I think the audio must have somehow desynced throughout the video and I really didn't want to figure out when it became desynced in the timeline when it was so minor. Don't worry, I made it a habit to do audio syncs in between every episode because this has happened in a lot of my earlier LP's, especially ones that required my unremarkable elgato capture card with a natural desync. TL;DR - The audio desync is only in this episode, the one later tonight is okay.
*sees thumbnail* uh oh
I hate dark bramble. :(
If you've forgotten how ghost matter works you can always revisit the tutorial section at any time!
Huh, I guess I didn't think of that when I was recording. I figure it out pretty quickly one of the next times I encounter ghost matter.
If you're worried about doing dlc content before you finish the main game, there is a pretty easy way to distinguish the dlc content from the non dlc content.
With how well integrated the DLC is put into the game, I can barely even discern whether or not something is part of the base game or part of the DLC, that was meant to be a compliment to the game, not a complaint about the DLC. Besides, I think it would defeat the purpose of the first experience if I partitioned off the DLC in it's own section when the game is about exploring what you want to explore in the solar system it provides. Yes, I am curious about what is DLC because I am absolutely weak when it comes to horror stuff but I intend on playing the full game either way so knowing wouldn't do me any good anyway. On a side note, I do have about 8 more episodes recorded, ready to be edited, I am very excited to edit them because of how easily scared I am, it will be entertaining to listen to. Look forward to the upcoming episodes! (When I get around to editing and uploading them along with the rest of my In Stars and Time LP.)
long ways to go
baba be cool
you might wanna cut the king fights because they are like half of this video lol
You must be new to the channel, I almost never cut my videos unless I'm cutting out technical difficulties or in the rare instance I'm really not satisfied with a part of the video and a chunk would just be better left out because it hurts the rest of the video. If I make scripted video essays or reviews, yes, I will cut the videos to be more concise but if I have to cut my LP's to reduce the stretches of boring parts I will be even less motivated to actually edit and put out my ever growing backlog of recorded videos. I do appreciate the advice but at the end of the day, this channel exists so I can have fun sharing the games I love with others who are interested and playing games other people love for the first time. Although, I will admit that this LP in particular can be really hard to watch if you have nothing to do on the side. In fact, this LP is one of the last ones I would consider cutting because I feel like people who watch playthroughs of this LP don't necessarily want to watch the game but they want to hear the reactions of the player as they go through the same motions for what feels like an eternity. Anyway, that was a really long response for a simple suggestion but I wanted to walk through my thought process instead of simply answering "no". I notice you've been commenting on a couple of my other older videos too, so if you're going to go through some of my older LP's, I would highly recommend Ghost Trick, it is still my favorite LP I recorded to date, I do voice acting like in this LP and that game is a whole lot more fast-paced too. Well, either way, thanks for watching and I hope you stick around despite my awful upload schedule!
@@dominomial4606 woah, thats a lot to just say no, but yes i am new and i will probably check out ur other videos. I was just saying that if you are going to fight the king a couple more times, thats like 1-2 hours of just fighting one boss. I get it but i would feel like its a bit repetitive. (also i just like baba and i saw ur channel banner have it so thats why i commented there)
@@tyler33773 Ah yes, Baba, a game I have not finished because of how brain melting the later puzzles are and one I stopped recording because it's difficult to commentate over. I love the game, just not a good LP game. But yeah, I get what you were trying to get at, don't worry, even if I do the king battle a few more times, I remember the battle being way faster later in the LP as I basically memorized the pattern. Also, thanks for noticing the channel banner, I update it every once in a while to represent almost all the games I've recorded, the idea is that as I continue the channel, it will get more detailed.
This game takes a while to click if you're taking it in chunks. I fell in love with it when I had nothing to do for about 48 hours, finished it in a few sessions. (You're only in the beginning)
Yeah, I know it gets better because I already finished recording this game months ago, I'm just slow on editing and uploading. I also didn't feel like making comments on that via editing because even if the game does get better, this was what I thought at the time of playing during this part of the game and I didn't want to undermine that by using the context of the rest of the game, mostly because it's a useless endeavor on my end and I would probably annoy viewers. Thanks for commenting, though! I hope you stick around until the end of the LP!
@@dominomial4606 I'll be checking out the later episodes. Definitely a slow start.
@@realtbhandrew It really is, I'm surprised this LP is doing so well on my channel despite the slow start... relatively speaking. Well, hope you enjoy your stay in this lonely corner of the RUclips gaming space. Also, just reread your original comment, how did you have the patience to play through this entire game in only a few play sessions? It took nine play sessions for me, the last one almost five hours in length.

poping in a bit late to add a few bits you mentioned! the game is definitely a slow burn and one where you stay for the story rather then game play and for the representation as someone in the lgbt community it’s definitely one of if not some of the best representation i’ve seen, it’s a great mix of both casual and having it be the focus it! along with that it brings attention to lesser talked about identities! sorry if the wordings a bit odd i’m trying to not dip into spoilers territory with it lol
Oh no, don't worry about it! I finished this game in June so you don't have to worry about spoiling me, (But perhaps be careful with other people watching this playthrough without any knowledge.) I am just really slow with editing and uploading videos because life is busy and this is a hobby for me, not a job like many other RUclipsrs. I really want to upload more videos but the editing process really does take a lot of time, even if I'm just making sure the audio quality is tolerable. As far as the LGBTQIA+ representation, I thought it was really well done except for one moment which I wrote a mini-essay while editing episode 6, long story short, it is really good but I felt like the game broke its own worldbuilding specifically with one dialogue interaction of one character just to establish a conversation around the theme. I also have a couple minor issues with the writing in general outside the LGBTQ+ theming but I know I talk about them in the later episodes. (I didn't have much else to talk about during some of the loops to be entertaining.) Anyway, thanks for commenting! It was really nice to get a cool, genuine comment on a video that wasn't my Metroid Dread sequence break video I released when that game came out. I'll make sure to put more effort into uploading this series and I hope you continue to enjoy my journey of growing 𝚍̶𝚎̶𝚕̶𝚒̶𝚛̶𝚒̶𝚞̶𝚖̶ happy and wholesome fun times with this game.

@@dominomial4606 oh good I don't suck as much as I thought I did
I really want to think the dev team knew someone was actually going to discover this so they left it that way
This was a sequence break I found in my LP two days after release and I'm not a speedrunner, I'm almost certain the devs knew of this skip. It would be cool if I did happen to discover an unintentional skip though, I wonder if it would get named after me in that case?
Excellent strategy for early space jump 🙏🏻🙏🏻
all you need (theoretically) is speed booster, morph ball, and bomb in terms of abilities (since you get crossbomb along the way). morph for going into all these tunnels, bomb for opening the way to right ghavoran and ibj'ing and speedbooster to make it to right ghavoran (plus if you cba to ibj to make it to golzuna too)
It's been years since I last touched this game so I don't really understand half of what you just said, but your username is really amusing.
This is also a nice time save if you are 100%ing the game and end collecting in crateria. You can use the teleporter to end up right above this, and use this skip to to go to Harubia super quick
Huh, that's nice to know, I definitely did not know this when I discovered this sequence break in my LP a couple years back but I'll keep it in mind if I choose to 100% this game again anytime soon.
Great! 😮
help i have all the keys but it wont let me access the tower
It's been a while since I played the game, so I don't remember it clearly but don't you have to close out the game in the first room of the tower to actually access it after collecting the keys? It's possible I was being a bit cute with how I cut the episodes and I cut the part where I access the tower in between the episodes. I dunno, that's all I've got, hope that helped!
@@dominomial4606 yea dw i finished the game now, really touching ending

Wow, I just found this comment three months after it was posted, RUclips for some reason decided not to notify me. Thank you for the compliment, I hope you enjoyed the LP!
Unless I was ignorant, the body horror CGI in this game actually scarier than any popular horror game like Resident Evil.
If you're talking about popular opinion, you're probably right about people agreeing the body horror in this game is scary, especially when the game first came out. As far as my opinion goes, I just think it's kind of goofy with the dated pre-rendered PS1 cutscenes. But even so, explicit visual horror doesn't really impact me as much as other people; however, I am extremely sensitive to horror ambience, scary sounds, or lack thereof. If you want to see me get scared, this LP might disappoint you but I still am having fun with the game!
@@dominomial4606 You're not wrong, this game is more like horror-theme, rather than full horror experience.
The exact reason I chose this game as opposed to a bona fide horror game. I want to try getting into the genre a bit more but I'm terrible with horror.
I really need SquareEnix to remake this game. Like...NOW!
That thing is small 😊
Always on board for a good meme or too xD #babblingistoughwhencommentaryisjustsohardtocomeupwith That I can believe!
Lol, what?! I love it. Commentary is hard but coming up with a witty comment is even tougher sometimes.
Definite hard way on both, you can either infinite bomb jump to cross bombs or just use the shinespark(which can net you a partial energy tank as well). For the second jump instead of infinite bomb jump then cross bomb you can start a shinespark, jump and drop a cross bomb near blocks then shinespark straight upwards to get the missile tank/early space. You can also pseudo wave beam the floor where the explosive node is to go backwards through the water and get it that way without cross bombs.
yooo i was just playing this game on my school computer i got stuck at this one part because the controllers were telling me this combination and i didn’t know it 😭
You might want to use a different controller because I've never had a controller speak to me before.
time to watch another let's play of one of my favourite games
What a coincidence! This is also one of my favorite games!
Your Toad voice is great! Edit: The Bowser one is good too.
Hey, thanks! I had a whole game to practice my toad voice with my Ghost Trick LP. I'm glad you like the Bowser one too, I was worried about that one because I struggle to do deeper voices.
yeaaaahhhh boyyyyy🤩
you know how hard is it to do that! Practice practice..
Which part? The morph ball shinespark, defeating the boss out of sequence, or the bomb jumps? All of it was difficult when I did this, I just cut out all the failed attempts, making it look a lot easier than it actually is.
That Ballspark also lets you get the Gravity Suit and Screw Attack early without needing to get the Space Jump. Just speed boost through the grapple door, store a shinespark and then boost to the other side of the gap in the water. Green teleport access immediately after the Pulse Radar.
Having the Screw Attack without the Space Jump feels very classic. Very Metroid 1.
I'm aware of the other sequence breaks but thanks for the info anyway. This is footage spliced together from my blind LP when the game came out, so... I wasn't aware of the other sequence breaks at the time and I ended up barely sequence breaking the space jump after all that effort.
I did this the first time I played, got to the boss and didn't know it was a sequence break

1:08:16 There was never a sequel becase it didn’t sell well outside of Japan But as you might know by now, there will be a port to all platforms this summer and Shu Takumi said once that he had some ideas for a sequel, so probably we can have one in some years if we support the game once it re-releases 1:11:56 You’ll might wanna try out another DS visual novel called 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, there is a port called Nonary Games but I don’t recommend that one, I recommend the DS version for that especific game, you’ll understand why if you play it
Yeah, I didn't record my reaction to the Nintendo Direct, but I audibly yelled when I heard the first few notes of the main theme of Ghost Trick, I definitely intend on getting that port, or at least heavily pushing others I know to get it. As far as 999 goes, sorry, you probably won't see me do an LP of that anytime soon. While I haven't played the game myself, I am very much aware of the plot of that series from watching Lucahjin's and Nintendocaprisun's LP and livestreams respectively. I specifically picked Ghost Trick because it is one of the few visual novels that are well-praised that I didn't know anything about, which leads to the best blind reactions. Never say never, I may do 999 if I ever get a co-com that hasn't played the game and is willing to indulge in voice acting but if you are aware of the state of my Xenoblade and It Takes Two LP's, that doesn't work out unless the schedules work out and you have a co-com dedicated to completing the series. Thank you for the suggestion, though. I'm glad that there's somebody out there that enjoyed my LP!

There are, in fact, no original galaxies in World S. Mario Squared is just Toy Time Galaxy, Rolling Coaster is just Rainbow Road, the 3rd one is The Secret of Ricco Harbor, the 4th is a chunk from Beach Bowl Galaxy, the 5th is Galaxy 1 bosses, the 6th reuses a gimmick from Flip-Swap and the 7th is a mash-up of random stuff that you've done before.
Thanks for the input. I most likely used a more lenient definition of original because while Rolling Coaster galaxy and Flip-Swap galaxy are not original ideas, their level designs are completely unique, making them original in a sense. I guess the better term would be "remixed" rather than "original".
Gobblegut's appearance is off-putting and very disturbing, in addition to being disgusting and physically revolting.

...just use the crossbomb to get to the space jump, much easier than lining up all of those normal bombs
I appreciate the advice but I personally find the infinite bomb jump really easy in this game. It only took me a few minutes to get the successful attempt after I learned to place the cross bomb on the off beat between the normal bombs. The other method is faster, but I'm not a speedrunner so I don't really care about optimizing my movement too much.
@@dominomial4606 I love that the timing on the bomb jump is almost exactly the same as it was in Super Metroid. I've never dropped two bombs per cycle like you do, just one each time I get back to the previous bomb's radius. It's slower, but it's exactly the same way I've always done it in Super.
@@ImDemonAlchemist Bomb jumps are always interesting in Metroid games as the timing is always slightly different from one game to the next. The only reason I use two bombs per cycle instead of one is because it's easier for me to keep up with a faster tempo than a slow one. Despite playing two instruments, I don't actually count beats, I just go off of feel and the more dead time between each beat, the more prone I am to mess up.
where are you when you go to 1:23?
Go to Ferenia from Ghavoran. If you follow the normal sequence of events after getting cross bombs early you should end up there pretty quickly. That room is right next to the entrance, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get to, but just in case, the space jump room is on the west side of Ferenia.
You really overthought this one. All you needed was a Shinespark XD
When life gives you ice missiles, you make platforms. I definitely didn't forget I could shinespark.
@@dominomial4606 ok and when are ice missiles?
When you defeat the blue E.M.M.I.
Funny how I never thought to freeze them as playforms xD guess the devs did think of every option
@Armin Maza you could do that all the way back in Super Metroid yo make platforms, so it's defenitly an intentional trick
