    Why does the mask I apply to my model seem low resolution? For example, the mask you applied has hard edges, but mine is a bit soft. I'm working with a pen tablet, and no matter how much pressure I apply, the edges of my mask don’t become as hard as yours. Why is that?

      You need to set the focal shift of the brush to -100, that will give you sharp edges on your mask. If you want a "high resolution" path of the brush, you could also activate the LazyMouse option in the Stroke menu and set it to this: Lazy Radius: 1 Lazy Step: 0.1 LazySmooth: 0 This should give you the sharpest mask PS: Remember to increase the subdivision level

    this is what normal maps are for. you're asking that poor gpu to render so many tiny triangles. it deserves better

      Hi! While normal maps are indeed effective for adding surface detail without increasing polygon count, the model shown in the short is designed for high-resolution rendering, typical of movies or cinematics. In such cases, we use displacement maps to achieve the highest level of detail and realism. This approach is more demanding on the GPU, but it’s necessary for the quality required in film production

    When you are sculpting this, are you in the subdivision? If yes, did you sculpt in the higher divison or lower

      Yes, I am; I jump from one to the other (low for significant volumes, high for smaller volumes). Also, I configured my tablet to have exponential pressure increases when I press really hard, allowing me to do some significant intrusions on the geo on a high subdivision level
