This is a great video! Even from three years ago, it is very relevant! I would like to mention though, with the SRM 225, the green spacer that you put on whatever trimmer you have is not needed and will cause the cotter pin not to be able to be inserted into the hole on the shank in the final step installing the blade.
If I want to install this without the safety how do I make sure it won’t fly out
Ofc i been using it with safety for a year but working with tall 2 feet grass it gets stuck far too much
great saw!:D , they even spared metal guard where chain runs - wow, Echo is now using chains resistant plastics!!....:D I saw a movie from a man who had bolts holding the bar come off - studs driven directly into plastic...platic crap - like they had a problem making the casing from Magnesium like the cheap Chinese saws are made...
The torx are T-27s.
Excellent video! Thank you!
Hi
WTH JUSTIN BIEBER IS DOING DIY’s. All jokes aside his knowledge and instructions are on point. Thank you Ryan. Do more instructional videos. Really simple and to the point.
Great Video
Hello man how to convert the echo 3 plastic blade trimmer to string trimmer?thanks
i don't understand why they didn't make it to fit the existing hardware
Sorry I installed it. Everything is good washer everything. Blade doesn’t not want to move.. I’ve tried different parts. I tried one of the original parts. I have the 225
Thank you
Awesome job of description. I picked up quite a few important points. Once again, thanks.
I don't get the "blade guard." extra handle thing. How is it suppose to work?
Thanks! The Echo 80 tooth blade that I want to buy, has instructions saying the SRM 225 carburetor needs adjustment after installation of blade. I'm trying to find a video addressing that in particular. Anyone know about video for that. I'm just starting to look for one but haven't found success yet. Thanks
Does anyone know why the nut tightened, stopping blade from turning?
Same problem here
Did you figure it out?
@@brianmichaelparks1 yes i figured it out. There is a small piece that i thought was trash and it was not. That part stops the nut from going too far down . It is like a tiny pipe or coupling called a COLLAR. Its brown. I'll find the name and let you know.
@@RavenWarehouseLotandServicehow/where did you install the collar because I’m having the issue where my blade doesn’t turn when I fully tighten the nut that holds the blade
@@RavenWarehouseLotandService awesome! I have everything in my car, boxed up and ready to return but I’ll give it a go tomorrow and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the response
I can’t get the head off of my string trommer
Good job Sir ! Learn the mechanical trade
That was five turns on the tensioner not a couple! Just kidding Great video thank you very much🎉🎉🎉🎉
I need help! This vid is outdated now with my new echo. In my kit I was given a long neck upper and a short neck upper. Which to use?I have a PAS 225.
Measure the pto shaft. Mine was 42mm so I had to use the taller spacer (not the small green one) with the short neck upper.
Do you've an email I can sent pic or video of the problem..thanks
Hi..I've cs3510 but is leaking too much between the bar and the oil hole..can you let me know if it needs a plate stroke guard?..thanks
How do you run it without the Chain getting hot? Are you saying I need to turn off my chainsaw every 15 minutes and for how long before I can slice more wood?
Sorry, the srm 230?
Great vid. Does this kit work with the SRM 320?
How do you resharp
Very well done! Completely understandable!!
Thanks. Just put this on my Honda. I recommend everyone does the same. Awesome combo
Great! Many thanks!

Thanks for the detailed installation guide, Ryan from Placerville Polaris!
Thanks for the great video! You saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Great job! I've had the blade kit on a shelf for a couple of years because I'm always a little intimidated by something new like this. I'm going to watch your video one more time tomorrow and put it on. Thanks for providing these great instructions!
Outstanding instructions! This made the process extremely easy as the instructions which came with product are not user friendly. THANK YOU!!!
What size reverse nut is that? Could i use echo edger blade nut? Same size nut? Ty
Where can I find just the adapter plate???
