And some things in the Bible refer to other religious beliefs, that are not of Hebrew origin. There no end times in Judaism. However, there is a end time in Zorstrianism. There is a difference of ones interpition and conception of God weather that be Ellohim or Ahurra Mazda, a difference ones orientation weather that be the Order of Melchizedek or the Persian Magi, ect..

Because, you are making a claim that Freemasonry is a religion, while not a Freemason yourself, and not providing any evidence to support your case. It depends where you are in the world. In most Western Countries, the process is “simple”. You’d simply contact your local Grand Lodge through their website and they would guide you through the process.

My brother, you are missing an important part of that lesson. Which is discussing which of our ideologies is true and correct versus false and wrong are not excellences of character. The thing it’s also trying to teach is you’re never going to convince someone of your ideology by telling them there is false and incorrect . But it is also there to teach us that it is these ideologies which divide us as people and try and separate us instead of uniting us for what we have in common That’s the greater lesson

I was referring to some Masons that misunderstand and think that they cannot talk about religion at all to any brother, or in a Masonic social setting which is incorrect. Only within the body of an open lodge are these topics not recommended, because we all know that these topics divide people.

The Boy Scours are not a Mason based group at all. Completely separate. They have an overlapping membership because they share the same values. But what about their recent history is a major shame? Are priests supposed to be Masons? Depends who you ask really, from our end, we have no issue with it. Catholic Church on the other hand does. But considering one of the major issues the Church as with Freemasonry is that we admit men of all faiths, and the Pope just saying that all religions lead to God: it’s a non issue.

@EmreTuncSagir - happy to help answer this, but you need to be able to answer one question regardless of any particular religious view or doctrine: do you believe there is a God who created the universe and who gives the moral law? Or can you define what your beliefs are?

@@DailyMasonicProgress hmm, well I could see a possibility of a creator, or I should say a being that designed the whole thing, but for the morals part I think that comes down to each individual. If you were to ask me what I believe could be the most likely “truth” is that either a being or beings did indeed design the universe and us in it, but what we do and what we set our morals as comes down to the individual cause if not, why would there be evil or bad people?

@EmreTuncSagir Let’s seperate what religion defines as a creator for now. You have to be able to reconcile in yourself that there is a single being who created the universe, who architected and designed it. This means as part of that design, that being created the laws of the universe. Including truth and moral laws, just as much as the law of gravity. There is a key principle in Freemasonry which says that “science proves the wonderful works of the almighty creator” Let’s address “individuals set our own morals” - you need to reconcile that while someone’s own morals may be self defined, there still needs to be an overarching moral law given by the creator. Otherwise you could take someone like Hitler who, as you said set his own morals, in his mind and for those that followed him they were good; yet for everyone else and also with hindsight we know they were evil. But why were they evil? Because the Creator defined a moral law by which our own individual morality can be tested against. If each person sets their own morals, there is no good or bad, because that is then subject to each individuals own morals. If someone steals from you, you know that is bad. But if they set their own morals, they may define that as good because selling the stolen goods allows them to feed their family and put Shelter over themselves. I want you to seperate any religious institution definition or descriptions of God when answer this next question. So forget what each religion says for a moment. Freemasonry doesn’t known which religion is true / right and as a philosophy it’s not the business of Freemasonry to enter into theological arguments. But in order for all of our ceremonies and teachings to be compatible with your own individual beliefs you need to be able to answer: 1) Is there a Creator of the Universe who intelligently designed it, who defined the laws of the universe?

@@DailyMasonicProgress Do I believe in a God that designed/creating the universe and it’s laws? Yes But do I believe in an all powerful God that watches us and sees everything? No, but I guess that comes down to a religion based God. I definitely do also see your argument about morality, basically saying that there must be something that has given a base of morality to all humans with which we built our societies with as pretty much all cultures have the same base ideals/moralities; don’t kill, don’t steal, do no harm, love your family, and so on

@EmreTuncSagir An all powerful all seeing God, doesn’t have to be a religious based God. Let me ask you this: Are you agnostic because you don’t believe in the institution of organised religion, ie the Churches or other religious bodies? Seperate the religious beliefs and practices from the institution that is religion. Is your agnostic views more because you have issues with how religion is organised and the churches institutionalisation of religion?
