Do you not think it’s a prerequisite of auditing public institutions that you at least need to be able to spell? I mean you’re obviously tech savvy, so use a spell checker to avoid the embarrassment of being an unemployable buffoon.

Art. 85.2 requests Member States to provide for exemptions or derogations from the GDPR for journalists if they are necessary to reconcile the right to the protection of personal data with the freedom of expression and information. Now our mate could claim he’s a journalist, but that’s for a court to decide and as far as I’m aware, that hasn’t been tested in UK courts. It has in Latvia (Case of Buivids case 345/17) but whether our mate has the means to launch such a defence is doubtful. So whilst it is open to interpretation, and given his obvious limitations, I doubt the courts would side with him, so you may well be correct.

@@TheTorbinator1 I am a private individual, in public, with no obligation to retain footage on my private phone . I am not subject to any GDPR nonsense. I do not have to apply for any RIPA authority. I can be a bit like, oh auditors. See where we are going with this?
