Brandon Fetter built and owned drag/show Cavalier moving... skating down the track pulling a 10.6 @ 150mph in the 3rd pass EVER in this car in 5 years. Not bad for dropping 2 seconds off of his first pass. So good to see this car hauling down the track into parachute territory!

An amazing car built by BFAB. Built and owned by Brandon Fetter himself. First pass out running a 12.9 @ 101, but you can see him moving around a bit on the track. Not bad for a first pass in 5 years in a car that he has never raced.

Hey man, I'm hoping you still have access to this channel, I have a 04 boosted cavalier aswell and now my issue is tuning, every single place I look no one supports tuning for this car anymore. Am I shit outta luck? Or do you know where I can get my car tuned, I feel like it's hopeless asking anymore but that's all my build needs and she's golden, let me know brother, thanks
It's gotta be done with HP Tuners. It's a pain in the ass and it's very difficult to get tuned unfortunately.
@@04TurboEcotec okay cause I'm on the stock pcm aswell as you were in this vid and from the comments I saw, but I'm gonna keep pestering them til I get an answer, you were able to do the tuning remote or through a computer Bluetooth right? Just want to know cause I don't have any plans to drive out to them any time soon lol I live in Michigan so it's very far for me, I can get the hpt plug and all that but I guess I'm gonna have to keep emailing them for a response, thanks bro I appreciate it
@@4130Filmzz you will have to find a tuning shop to do it. I had to haul mine to St Louis to get it tuned and it was still extremely difficult.
@@04TurboEcotec for sure, I'll definitely keep that info handy for when the time comes gotta get some time off work to get that Rollin, thank you again brother I appreciate it, I was just thinking going the standalone route, like megasquirt or something like that, I know a few people who tune standalones regularly so that might be the route I go, more pricey, but better fine tuning

Nice set up. How is the trans holding up? I burned out mine, i was NA on e30 in NM. Im wondering how to get max life out of the trans. Some forums said a LSD makes the trans strong.

I was at The Eagles Concert toward the tail end of The Long Run Tour in CT at the old New Haven Colosseum and it was Joe's Birthday...he came out for the third set...drink in one hand, dooby in the other, Plastic red Firemans hat with a rotating, flashing yellow beacon...he gets to the mic and says "I am running for President...on the HONESTY PLATFORM...CAUSE I HAVE NEVER FUCKING LIED TO YA"...brought the house DOWN...then led off the set with "Life's been good to me so far". The man is a LEGEND.

I know it's an old video but what do you have for a taillight setup? They look like they are off an 02 and earlier but it's an 03 and up front end

what is that valve cover from? i just installed a 2.2 (2004 ) ecotec engine in my 1984 alfa romeo spider.. i like that valve cover better than the oem one
It's from an LSJ cobalt. It's almost a direct fit. You have to modify it since we don't use both cams to run things externally

@@04TurboEcotec did you use the turbo and manifold off the saab 9/3? the ecotec was used from 2003-2009 ..i have looked at these as a possible doaner for a turbo set up on my 2/2.. but i would have to de-compress my engine, with a thicker head gasket..i am at 10.7/1 compression as of now
@@randellgribben9772 mine was all custom manifolds. Hardest part is tuning them. The software sucks. I was running stock compression with my turbo kit and it didn't need decompressed, just gotta tune it right.

Great build! I have a built 2.2 ecotec with the turbo comp cams, but they're too mild for my taste. I've been thinking about getting the stage 3 comp cams, but I'm worried the increased valve overlap will negatively affect turbo spool. What size turbo are you running? Would you recommend the stage 3 cams in a turbo application?

How did you run the turbo oil lines
It's been so long ago I don't really remember. Feed came off the head somewhere. Drain went back into the girdle where it was tapped.
Anyway you could check where the feed is ran from?😂😂

Markus Kopa pipes ran down the back off the turbo. Under the motor to the intercooler.
What cam are you using?
Boon Dock it was the stage 3 from comp cams
so what other stuff did u do to run these cams if I out them in do I just need different springs and valve seats ?
brett fuller fully built motor, Pistons, rods, cam gears, valves, springs, guides, modified rockers... You can put them in anything and only change the stuff you mentioned... Just not as safe
+04TurboEcotec do u have flat top pistons or pistons with valve relief and what u do to the rockers trim them down or something I'm building this hole engine flat top pistons different rods these cams and a little turbo I'm just trying to suck all the info up before I just jump in and fuck things up
brett fuller if I recall it was stock compression with relief cuts. And shaved the rockers down so they didn't hit the spring retainers.

brett fuller the bottom of my rockers were rubbing on the top of the spring retainer. So we ground the the bottom of the rocker down so it wouldn't rub on the top of the retainer.
