Is there logoc to why you put the 3rd in the roght hand. Ik it makes ot sound less "cluttered" but why the 3rd
No logic! Just thought it sounded nice
Switch octaves on G and Ab to make it cleaner
Cleaner meaning a more open voicing?
@@RedPianoCharlieJust a voicing that wouldn’t include the dissonant b9 between the b3 and 9.
@@WhiteRussianDollsoh I hear you. I think my hand stretch had something to do with keeping the Ab in the upper octave and the G in the lower!😅
Why isn't it just F(root) Ab(m3) Bb(11) C(5)? I honestly wanna know, I've been playing for almost 10 years now but only recently have I started learning more music theory so I'm interested.
@@barti209 Hi! Because the 7th scale degree, (whether its minor, major, or dim) and the third have to be present in order for it to be an 11 chord. Without the third its an 7sus4 chord, and without the 7 its a Fmadd4 chord. If you have the 7th and 3rd scale degree, every other interval is notated as an extension beyond the octave. (2nds are 9th, 4th are 11ths, 6 are 13ths)
the seventh is Eb not D#
i love juicy chords like these
doesnt Fm11 mean that the 11 has to be a higher octave? like if you played F Ab Bb C in ascending order is that still Fm11 or is that... Fm2 lol
It would be a 4 if there isn’t a b7. If there’s a 7, any octave of the 4 is called an 11.
Sounds good if you add the 6 too
Damn that’s good.
Hey I appreciate it!
Ugh... Loved it... The crunch
Always after the crunch
Love this chord! If you put the Ab down an octave it makes an even more open sound :)
Facts
Good call!
Very open
More fun that way, if you have big enough hands!
Also, F double sharp? Isn’t that just G?
Could you explain why you are saying B# instead of C and E# instead of F, I have never understood why people do this but I am sure there is a reason or a function I am unaware of that provides utility
In a scale you typically won't use the same letter name for multiple notes, for example in C# major you would refer to the major seventh as a B# to avoid using the letter C for both the root and the seventh. same with the E#. He uses F## instead of G because you are raising the eleventh of the scale (F#) up a half step. He doesn't use the letter G because it is reserved for the 5th note of the scale (in this case a G#), and a G in this chord would imply a flat five instead of a sharp 11, even though they are technically the same note.
Perfect explanation!
Traveling through Hyrule at night in Breath of the Wild.
Sounds like I need to replay it again….
Clean your piano keyboard
You don’t think the dustiness has a certain charm?? 😂😂😂

Thank you!
Back to basics!
Nice, rich chord voicing . Smooth voice leading and transitioning. Excellent !
Thank you! Appreciate it 🙏
My favorite chord is eflat7sus4/dflat in the bass
I love having the 7 in the bass like that!

Beautiful🎶
This is beautiful, I listened on loop. Would love to hear the final song when it’s ready
Of course!
Why is the lighting so aesthetic tho
Way more effort than Id care to admit…
Minecraft
Bmin(b6) with the third up one Octave sounds beatiful, you should try it
I will!
It’s smooth and green yellow with red pink
Do you have synesthesia?? I love that description
Ooo would be nice for bossa nova
Thats where I usually use it! Or RnB/neo-soul
I looove minor 11th chords, they sound so good
F should technically be an E# here 😅
Nice voicing
It sounds rlly good when you start woth a Cmaj7 and go down to Am7 at mezzo forte
Love that! I-vi is always the move
Nice chord. My favorite is Dmaj7(add10)
Beautiful
Tf is add10 lol. The 10th is just the third and the third is already present in a Dmaj7 chord
@@knights8400 you need to add the third again but up an octave
Thats just Dmaj7
I call it, the BITTERSWEET chord
Great way to think about it honestly
Saucy. Made me say “Ooh” when you played it.
Its a spicy one! 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I really exhaled, very beautiful, sounds similar to maiden voyage chord
Sounds similar to a Star trek TOS chord. They do it melodically with an eerie vocal.
Oh whoa I need to hear that
Camera couldnt take the sharpness
