I diid see a video from a booktuber the other day lamenting the very high cost of paperbacks in his store. I guess it is that sawhorse of Market Forces. Don't know if you checked or not but they usually have a vintage section where there are collectible type items such as older books, paperbacks, magazines, etc. Sometimes you can find old Mad magazines, Famous Monsters and even some Marvel Magazines from the 70's if you get lucky. I recently found a few of the Howard the Duck and Hulk magazines from the late 70's early 80's. The stores in my area don't put them in the comic book section. There may also be a display case somewhere with higher priced comics but they are usually way overpriced. Good deal on the Essential Tales of the Zombie. I noticed they had several of the Essential Tomb of Dracula volumes on the shelf at that store as well.

I have gotten a ton of comics from our half-price books. We have two in Lexington and two in Louisville.

I love dollar bin diving for old indy comics.

Ive seen this store in other people's videos too. Those stores aren't in my area in western NY. Be interesting to burn a few hrs digging for a treasure there. You found some good run fillers you needed it seemed too. Way to go

Captain america would definitely win. With all of his years of experience fighting an assortment of everybody. He would win because, although Captain America's image is a good boy.He can be one of the most violent heroes when It comes down to the nitty gritty. Even though captain america is a supersoldier , he constantly trains to be able to execute at peek performance. And he can take a licking and keep on ticken.... not because he is a super soldier, because he has an iron will and never quits.

That Conan book number 9. I think where he's tied to the tree reminds me of the scene from the movie where Conan is on the tree of woe. All he needs is a buzzard landing on his head.

I enjoyed your video. After watching all those terrificon videos it was nice to see something else. I don't like big crowds. I used to go to a little comic book con at a VFW hall they did it three or four times a year and it was small and wasn't noisy and had lots of comic books that kept me digging and happy.

That Darklon is a cool comic. Pacific Comics at the time had several series by top-notch creators that came out in the early 80's that never made it past the first or second issue. I loved them at the time and was a big PC fan, particularly Captain Victory, Starslayer, Groo, Rocketeer, etc. They were really throwing a lot of series out there and seeing what would stick, unfortunately, they were successful for awhile but things turned on them and they went out of business. They were one of those great early "independent" publishers that came along, like First Comics and Eclipse, that directly preceded those type of publishers we see today, i.e. Dark Horse or Image. I enjoy your videos!

Eric I enjoy your show . I especially like dollar bins videos cause probably half of my collection came out of them. I just won an auction at my comic shop for 10 bucks.The first appearance of nitro( Captain marvel comic) signed on the interior page by jim starling.
