Hi, great video, I've just used this to install my kickstart on a 250. The manual states to use medium thread lock on the kickstart ramp bolts, but it looks like you didn't use any. Is that right? I've just reassembled everything and realised I maybe should have used thread lock!

Looks like 1 mm plates steal are from beta 450.. ??

Have a question.. I drive 2017 xtrainer. I change clutch friction discs and steal plates and bike can move one meter. Latter I check and inspect all parts . And I found how is steal plates just 1mm and my old 1.25mm I use my old plates and now ferode disc. Now clutch is ok. Nowhere I can find how inspect and real size of steal plates in beta clutch. The same problem I seen in one video hare .

does this make the clutch not grab as hard also?will it wear out the plates quicker?

Great Video, thanks for that. Ist the amount of Oil in the outer Tube the same as in the unshortend Fork 350cc? Because I bought the original Beta conversion Fork and in that Fork was only 300cc. Thanks

I put the impact driver to my screws today to just one click like you did in your video but that turned out to be too much force for those darn things. So the bolt tower is now shattered. Will need a full clutch basket won't I?

I tried this on my 2022 Xtrainer and it didn't seem to change the pull. The 2022 has a new clutch with 6 bolts so not sure if this would work. I used 1.25MM washers.

Will this work on a 2020 beta 300rr?

Gday owen , do u know how to make the stand auto retract on a beta xtrainer 300 2021 . The kit comes with extra springs and a metal plate ( 2 holes ) but no instructions? Any info would be awesome . Love the vids Cheers Adam

Hey Owen thanks for taking the time to make this video. Do you happen to know if that slave off the 18 350 from will fit a 17 XTrainer? I know the XT changed their slave from 17-18.

Has anyone done this with a 2019 XT (6spring). Bought some6 mill, 1.2 mill thick washers thinking mine had 4 springs...I just want to be sure I can still get away with using this thick of washer.

hey, what is the part number for bigger diameter of clutch slave cylinder? Owen Lock has mentioned 2014 RR 350 racing. I looked the models there is no RACING model for 2014, but there FACTORY version. Please specify the the exact model and/or part number. thanks

Very useful videos. What mods should I do to a 2020 Xtrainer (6 springs clutch) to get a lighter cluth? Do you recomand the washer trick on 2020 Xtrainer or just changing the slave clutch cylinder with the 2014 350RR one? Thank you!

how do you get the washer out of the clutch when you decide to either not use it or experiment further?

you can also put a bigger washer that wider than spring to make it more heavy if too light

Hi Owen, how did the cut tyres end up riding? Did they last for a couple of rides?

What year rr race are these forks off? Have you had to revalve them? I’ve got a 2017 350rr race and I find the initial part of the stroke really harsh. Going to try lighter fork oil weight, maybe a bit less oil, and different preload circlip position initially to see if that helps, but I’m thinking I probably should revalve the forks. Both the front and back are really harsh in the initial stroke following a service and putting in springs for my weight. The stock springs actually felt good, but just a bit wallowy at low speeds in the top of the stroke. So got springs to suit my 110kgs and now it’s very harsh over small successive bumps. Wound all my clickers out 6 turns from stock setting, and that helped a bit, but no way near as good as it was initially.

Are they premix or Automax as you didn’t say about that. Most bikes are liked better for being Auto mix and the Technology for it is old look at the kdx dtr and so on.
