John Ford, only made films, at one depth. Hence why, he's not known, for other genrés. Just westerns, and the WWll documentary-types. Same with the big ham🐖; John Wayne. Rarely was he in anything, but westerns. Abarring several different tropes, over the years, that's it. 'Stockholm Syndrome'??? Sounds a bit like, brainwashing to me🤨!!! Ford used the great expansives, 'cause he lack quality experience, in the studio👎. I watched this once, and if I view it again, "That'll be the day"😉!!!!

The premise is wrong based on language. You might get away with categorizing this film as a terror film but horror implies other worldly. Therefore this film doesn't qualify

This is a horror movie but for different reasons than the author analyses. the main character, even if full of racist hatred, turns out to be a noble man. Thus the conclusion - even if you are racist and hate "Indians", you are still most probably a good person. And the Comanches (and all Native Americans, by extension) remain murderers, kidnappers, and ultimately defeated by the superior "Cowboys". It makes my stomach turn. The fact that it's directed by John Ford who is an icon of American movies just makes it a more powerful tool of brainwashing.

THAT WAS AWESOME!!! LOVED the music @ the end too! Lol You did a REALLY nice job!! The only thing I would have changed was to build it near a lake!! Very detail oriented too!!!
