@@LAYON916 Halo 4 doesn't contradict anything from Bungie's games, it only expands what is already established, in fact Bungie contradicted its own lore before 343 did when they released Halo Reach by decanonizing The Fall of Reach novel.

@omegax4213 "Don't fuck with Halo fans...we don't play the games". Brother, The Fall of Reach WASN'T BUNGIE. IT WAS MICROSOFT. Matter of fact, Bungie didn't want TFOR to come out. And if you think there's no contradictions between H4 and the Bungie trilogy they playing them again but pay closer attention next time. The entire plot twist of the Halo franchise is destroyed by 343i.

@@LAYON916 It's literally the same, Bungie at the time had control of the saga and decanonized whatever they wanted, the same thing happens with 343, there are things that Bungie did that they didn't like and they decided to change them, with the difference that you forgive Bungie for everything. And yet I still don't see a single contradiction that Halo 4 has made.

after epitaph i would highly doubt hes coming back. epitaph was a perfect end for the character, the only way to give him justice as well because the games cant really dive into the forerunner trilogy events just a few characters like mendicant and offensive bias

Lol this is the most custom ult they have in the game. It’s lazy don’t get me wrong but at least they actually animated a new move rather than reuse like they do 90% of the time.

I agree. But thats not what community sentiment was back in 2012 around the didact and the story direction of Halo 4

the didact was definitely around, had an incredible book (epitaph) but he definitely shouldve been the main villain for halo 4-infinite. even if epitaph is absolutely incredibly and a great end for the character (to be honest it made a halo 5 just a slither more bearable with how smug the didact is over cortana losing chief at the end of 5)

He is not, sadly. I don't think we'll see him again after the last book he was in (Epitaph).

I completely agree, I actually loved Halo 4 which is what made Halo 5 so painful. If they had just made a sequel to this game, including elements from Hunt the Truth and Spartan Ops?? Could have been amazing.

Halo 4 didn't have something. It altered the course of halo forever to die. The concept of the didact and 343's version of the forerunner is terrible. Plus Halo 4 isn't even a good game if you disregard it's story it has the worst sandbox and balancing out of the series and it has me wanting to rip my hair out just playing on normal difficulty. I went into the game trying to have a positive mindset but left having had one of the worst gaming experiences of my life. The Prometheans are terrible enemies.

humanity didnt want to fight the flood, thats literally what started the human-forerunner war. ancient humans considered the flood such a big threat they risked a war with the forerunners over it spreading

I thought 4 was a masterclass in story-telling. It is extremely solid and stands up well to the test of time. It was establishing a new trilogy, and they nailed it, aside from the multi-player of course. This is coming from someone who remembers the midnight release of Halo 2. I think it's a crying shame that they binned this story and wasted so much great build-up from all the multimedia. I miss the Didact.

cortana and chief are at some of their best in halo 4, its like one of its only redeeming qualities
