The majority of water on my C8 is coming from the passenger side. I found a little corrosion on the right side but not near the corrosion from water on the left or passenger side.

Nice idea! Would be great if you can share if you made the locking mechanism yourself or is it available for purchase.

Try putting some dense rubber/foam weather sealant. Maybe that will create a much better seal over the flawed area.

I purchased your Diverter and will install it this weekend. I did watch another video that someone posted and they actually had more water in their passenger side strut. That surprised me. I wonder if leaving the strut covers on, plus the Diverter would be the total solution? Your thoughts? Thanks.

Looks good, I have putting an order now. How about the rear struts? Water accumulates over the bolts holding the shocks and they rusts... I need something similar, 3D printed to go over and prevent water from getting there. Make 2 versions because the MRC wire may get in the way when you have that option.

Thanks for this video! Trailered home my 2023 and just checked strut covers from the factory. Sure enough there was plenty of water in there! So to confirm, with this driver side diverter, you do not need anything for the passenger side.

I bought this BS on Etsy and i don't see the purpose. Additionally, the instructions that came with this was printed on the tiniest piece of paper I've seen in black and blurry (not black and white, black and blurry). Disappointed is an understatement.

How many problems will this car have? I’ve seen so any videos with folks doing aftermarket adjustments because Chevy skipped so many steps.

looks good and certainly easy install. However, it frunk hood (and fenders) is unprotected and given its height will likely get hit with road debris. PPE while costly maybe be the best protection IMO

The whole set can be bought on eBay for $60 with all nuts and bolts to hold it down. I don't think it is worth making since they are readily available now a day.

Yes, trying to lift a 50 lb chunk of lead in an awkward position will certainly strain your back or crush a finger, or damage some other part of your body. DO yourself a favor and replace it with a 16 lb lithium battery from LithiumMoto, your car will thank you and no chiropractor visits

Gaining access to it is easy, as shown. However, removing the battery should it fail to take a charge for example, even when using a battery strap designed for that purpose, can prove quite difficult. That is due to the fact one must reach over the front, or a side fender, in order to use a battery strap designed to lift batteries. Try doing that while bent over while simultaneously having to reach and lift it with your arms extended. I had to replace the battery in my C7 ZR1 which is in the rear hatch area on the right side in a similar 'box'. However, what at first appeared to be easy using a battery strap designed for that very purpose, was anything but. I couldn't lift it, and neither could my dad at first. It took him a number of tries and a bit of grumbling to do so. And the C8 battery location makes it even more difficult. Ask any tech who's done so. That said, I suggest taking it to a dealer and not attempting to do it yourself. You'll want to thank me later. I assure you. Yeah, a lot of rambling with regard to 'simply' changing a battery.
