I agree with all of that. The first half was mindnumbingly shyte. I would add Madsen to the roll call of useless players, how on Earth we wasted £4m on two midfielders worse than what we already had is worrying. Great to see a victory after missing Leeds and Norwich but I doubt we’ll see a worse team than Oxford all season.

Our previous attacking trio was Chair, Field and Willock. When they were firing they were brilliant. With Willock out on a limb at Cardiff we still have Field & Chair, but also Saito, Kolli & Frey. Be good to see Chair back properly ,knowing that he has scored some cracking goals.Full marks also to Dunne, Smythe Cooke and Nardi..

Yes you know it was a bad first half when the extended Sky highlights package talks about how great Loftus Road is under the lights for about 4 minutes of it at the start and then politely cough their way into the second half. I do like Sam Field in the 8 shirt, it does seem to suit him. I really like Saito and Smyth, for all his poor crossing is still a tricky player to deal with. Varane is starting to look the part and Morrison have made such a massive difference at the back alongside Cook. 21 going on 34 with the way he reads the game. What a find he is. Kolli exciting and playing through sickness which kind of indicates that the talk of his attitude recently is unfounded. Your right, get that contract done. A total banana skin avoided and a chance, perhaps on Saturday, to keep Armstrong and Wells at bay and stick a few past them at the other end. I said these games were our real test in the comments a few weeks back. So far Marti and the boys are passing with flying colours. Are we finally actually getting some luck? Like you said we got carved open a few times and we all know 8times out of 10 the opponent scores those against us. The ricochet hitting Nardi and bouncing perfectly for him to clear after it had rocked the cross bar. We need to make the most of this run of form and with all the injuries coming back it’s extremely exciting. Sounds like it would have been a tough watch in the first half. I think it’s very positive sign that after appearing fatigued we came out strong. This is where youth and enthusiasm are important and we seem to have that too. I’m really excited about the next period with Frey and Chair then Colbeck back soon hopefully. Hoops!

Totally agree with your comments. 1st half was a snore fest but I was certain we would be better in the second half which is what happened. Unless Oxford have a lot of injuries I think they will be certs for the drop based on that performance. Next few games coming up are also definitely winnable too

Good second half, the first half was a Sunday league performance and is best forgotten. Don't know what happened to Lloyd but he looked very off it and we need to sort out this LB situation before Ashby costs us a game (No offence to him). Obviously he's playing out of position but maybe instead of trying to smash the ball to the opposite side of the pitch with your weak foot just play simple short passes. I do feel like a non-conventional striker like kolli or lloyd would do the best up top for us. We have never been able to provide good service to our number 9s, so maybe not having a “number 9” would fix the issue😂

well its the qpr way to play well against the top teams and then balls it up against the teams fancied for relegation. i really hope the players go into this knowing they are as good as us ( the league position doesnt lie by the way ! ) they , like all the teams in the championship can beat everyone on their day, and if we are not at 100% they will beat us....simple

Yes they are a potential banana skin and we need to take them very seriously or be undone like we have been several times already. That said, we have to take some confidence from the matches we've played recently and hope that Kolli gets the starting nod and continues in the attacking role. I agree, 2-1 would be a very good result here but we have to be on it as this is QPR and we know what QPR do in these matches.

Great game, really liked how well we fed the ball up the pitch and didn’t fall into a lull back passing wondering what to do with possession. Haven’t seen the team look more confident to play this season so far and felt Dunne, Madsen, Kolli, Smyth and Paal (till subbed) had good / great games. CoYRs!

RE Kolli, he was fantastic, etc, etc, but if he isn’t selected in the starting lineup, in Martí’s defence, he will want to shield Kolli from any potential injury from having played too much in a short space. I’d also argue that Kolli’s form has as much to do with Paul Furlong as with Martí & co, PF must be pulling up trees with some of those players in the YDS, but hardly gets a mention, but also might advise us not playing Kolli for the full 90’ vrs Ox or Bristol. Players are dropping like flies, which suggests there’s a different problem behind the scenes.

Desperately need to tie Kolli down to a long term contract. I dont know whats going on behind the scenes but it needs to get resolved. Can't afford to let this guy go on a free. Now Zan is out he needs to start also. We will be comfortably midtable at end of the season.
