2:50 that was Ford RS200. Not Peugeot 205 T16
Any pedestrian rally fan knows that the late Joachim Santos was driving a Ford RS200 and not a Peugeot 205T16 as you narate.
nice video
Hiw can you not mention that the possible world champion Henri Toivanen & his co-pilot Sergio Cresto crashed & burned to death? That was the final nail in the coffin for group B as it was banned by the end of that day
Scary thing
Maybe fastest car but definitely not "the fastest land vehicle": On May 10th, 1893 Engine 999 of the Empire State Express, a New York Central locomotive pulling several passenger cars, set a world land speed record of 112-1/2 miles per hour on its run from Batavia to Buffalo, New York.
Bro I can’t take these ai voices anymore
CS:GO zoom sound
1 piston has twice the displacement of my car...
Hahaha 🤣
❤
And today people think they’re fast doing 180 in a straight line on a German Autobahn 😂
Just enough parts to soil yourself while driving, and as many safety features as most 60s cars...
Dont wreck
Imagine doing 170 in that thing 😂
with virtually no brakes
Gassssssss
Imagine seeing that in 1905...🤯
Yes I remember Michel's in the 1982 NZ International Effort but her Audi let her down ... She is one Amazing Woman !!!!!

Childhood hero! 🤩. Such an awesome woman.
She deserves all the respect!
Dear youtube, how many more videos recycling the same topic are you gonna show me?
Nicely done, but the video has one major false information: in the accident in Portugal 1986 Santos did not drive a Peugeot but a Ford RS200! Also "the cause of the accident remains debated", no it was caused by trying to avoid spectators that stood in the middle of the track, exactly as the drivers statement at 4:47 says. The Ford RS200 was fast but sadly not very loud. He caught the car in front, a Renault R5 Turbo, spectators jumped onto the road after that R5, not hearing the Ford RS200 was immediately behind it.
Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll be more meticulous in the future!
@@car-goes-brrap Looking forward for more rally content 🙂
It was a ford RS200, not a Peugeot, that crashed.
Motorsports is the most exciting when there’s no safety beautiful cars and roads knowing that you can and will die for this magnificent sport
Some of us don't like throwing dice to determine whether we will live another day. I've just read the history of Ferrari and just about all his drivers died prior to around the time of this accident. He didn't seem to mind that they died. He was more upset that he had not won - it destroyed my previously held view of the man.
1995 ?
woops, thanks for poiting that out lol
nice
Thank you dr House

I have literally never wondered who the best Scottish driver is
Fun fact i have also never wondered who the best Scottish driver is.
just a thing, that hp numbers are way low even in official rally spec, and with turbo tuning only, that same engine can achieve over 400 hp, going over a thousand with work inside of the engine and parts
Yeah I realize now that it’s misleading as the 220 is referring to the not rally road going version of the delta, but thanks for the feedback!
And stupid fans
The Lancia Delta and the Stratos were legends in group B
