I don’t understand?! How can we butcher our language with English? Maybe we're just giving English a little makeover! 😜 Language is meant for communication, right? As long as we’re getting the point across, who’s to say what’s 'proper'? We’re all just trying to talk and make sense in our own unique way!

@@WorldAroundUs just rewatch your video and notice how many times you interject English words and phrases. The ones that you could say in your native language but choose to say in English. I see it all the time with Indians who speak Tamil/Malayalam/Hindi etc. Even in movies. It sounds silly. I like my language and do not mix it with English or any other language for that matter. @ it sounds beautiful but it’s not. It’s just your colonial past that a lot of people still embrace. English is the language of status because white people decided so once. If you wanted to communicate in the “unique way” as you say, why English? Why not German, why not Swedish, why not Chinese? That’s right, because those countries never colonised India. That was my point

We totally get where you're coming from! We love our language too, but mixing in English words is just part of how we express ourselves. @ and to answer how you can butcher your language: imagine you watch a podcast where American speaks English and suddenly switches to Hindi to count (one two three). Why would he do that if he already has these numerals in his language? For example, can a Hindi speaker say 2020 in his native language so that other Hindi speakers will understand? If yes, why would he say “two tausand twonty” butchering not only Hindi but also pronouncing English in a horrible way.
