I really like these old Victorian era coaches, I hear the railway has a few on the line all waiting to be done up. Hopefully in the future we may see them all running together behind a loco. What a sight what would be.

I think there are 7 MSLR/GCR 4 or 6 wheel coaches left, with 2 unique brake coaches, this one and the workmans brake (smaller guards space with an extra compartment) at Tanfield

She’s looking good thus far! Can’t beat a good wooden bodied coach!

Tragic that historic institutions are in so much financial trouble, I've been telling people to try and donate so we won't lose these great museums. We are so privileged to be able to experience things like this and look into the past, so we must preserve our history at all costs.

i used to be a volunteer at the railway and still a life member till my nee cap failed on me and as no buses run on a sunday i cant get over there pitty i love working there iam one the old members asks dave bathwick or john duff or bob duff they know me just cant get around any more unless some one like to pick me up my name is keith poynter
